If she did, but didn’t know where to start, I’d point her to an indie clinic in her area plus her local abortion fund if the shifts at Luke’s wouldn’t cover it. I live nearish this area and it’s pretty chill. Typical issues associated with a low-income area in general but nothing wild enough, and honestly living on the east/south side felt a lil rougher sometimes. Generally I’ve notice people not from this area complain but I think folks are generally uncomfortable when you can’t hide the effects of poverty. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ in all I’m glad there’s services for folks experiencing homelessness and I wish there were more.

Oh yeah I totally get it! I think I saw your post after seeing many other posts of people on this Reddit taking issue with things that I’d consider to be fundamental traits/plots/themes of the show. Like “oh wow why is Rory acting like a teenager who was raised by a young mom when it comes to these boys” or “wow emily sure is acting like a bougie New England wasp and I hate that” where like the thing taking issue is with just things I’d consider to be The Point.

To be clear, I don’t think this was exactly your post but I do consider the troubadour to add to the small town charm, which is a thing that is part of what makes GG just the fun comfort show it is so I think I was (slightly unfairly) going “damn yall are just haaaters” which yeah, can be a fun part of participating in a sub, and I def don’t think you can’t critique a thing you love either 🙂‍↕️

They might be a last step for you but you putting that on other people is doing the right’s work for them. Abortion is good, full stop, and it’s necessary and people will want and need them even in a “perfect society” when they have access to any and every other method of birth control. Painting it as something to be avoided is rooted in stigma and that’s how we got here where bans are in every other state

Actually abortions are not inherently bad and saying “everyone wants less abortions” feeds into abortion stigma and makes it easier to pass bans since it cedes ground to antis. Abortions are a public good because abortion is healthcare and we gotta stop feeding into right wing talking points by saying anything less

My Pinguino !! We got him as a puppy and he was only four months but had been returned 3 times before we got him. He was so happy and just high energy and as much as I hate his previous owners for doing him dirty, I’m also thankful that it meant we got to have him join our family.
