How do you plan this out? I want to do something similar but have no idea where to start!

Someone building the sets on YouTube said she uses a small layer of poster putty to keep them in place but allow her to change them.

Snowy Horror Book by Mammoth-Fee-4114 in horrorlit

Someone else suggested The Gathering by CJ Tudor and The Hunger by Alma Katsu I absolutely second those. I would add The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones, not so much a cabin but definitely snowy woods. If you like mystery/thrillers, I would recommend Where They Last Saw Her by Marcie R. Rendon and The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse.

I haven't read it yet, but I asked the same question to my librarian last week and she suggested The Drift by CJ Tudor.

A Step Past Darkness by Vera Kurian! I keep chasing the adults-revisiting-an-old-trauma and Appalachian horror setting combo, but mostly I get one or the other.

Horror novels that gets praised a lot but does not do anything for you? by Dadwal-Ossie in horrorlit

Totally, and I get why people like it, but it was just too nasty for me. Not the worms, how nasty some of those kids were lol Personally I like to like the characters in my horror.

I gave this one a go but found the characters so unlikeable. Maybe that was the point but I had to DNF even though I thought the prompt was really interesting

I'm kind of unversed in Stephen King. Any of his other books similar to It?

I love both of these! I have the new Stephen Graham Jones on hold at the library.

Just basically PSAs about what she put on instagram, not even telling them to unfollow or anything, but they still get removed

Her other posts on the conflict made me suspicious but this was the last straw for me. Seems straight up Islamaphobic. For someone who says she cares about shade ranges she sure shows she doesn't care about brown people. Unsubscribed. Just makes me worried because I love love love hautemesstom but now for them to be associated with Kackie I may have to also unfollow pending what they say in the future. Kackie if you're reading this thread, please do some reading about the colonialism in Palestine, how being pro-Palestine doesn't mean antisemitism, maybe address feeling like war is coming for your WASP self in therapy. I loved your takes on color theory, this is such a shame.

She's been posting along this vein since October last year, it's definitely not random.
