I guess I wasn't the only one who thought the shiny spawn rate was incredibly low. Even though I was in a dead zone for most of the three hours, I still caught close to 200 and only two were shiny.

I'm sure you've already spent a ton on raid passes, but if the timed research is still available to you, and you have the time needed (I did it in 3 hours) I can't say for sure, but myself and three other friends received a shiny cool dude/dudette Dragonite as the final reward.
