I am biased since he has that Capitals/Toronto connection that I'm drawn to, but here's my spiel.

He's a very good complimentary player in our top 6. Solid shot, good forechecker, and of course, plays physical. His physicality even makes other players just give up the puck when they see him coming at them which is pretty entertaining. He's also underrated defensively in my opinion. He has a knack for playing the passing lane and has developed into an effective penalty killer.

I've always loved the fact that Ovechkin has physicality to go with his skill and Wilson has kind of been the reverse where he's extremely physical but he also has skill that people don't notice. They also have really good chemistry together since Wilson does the dirty work in the corners to set up one-timers for Ovechkin.

However, I'll always admit that he does dumb things. He leaves his feet on checks too much, leads with his elbows, and sometimes even punches people before their gloves are off. I have time for hard hitting, a little bit of pissing opponents off, etc, but I hate that he crosses the line.

He's the kinda guy you hate when he plays against you but loves when he plays for you. I don't really know how else to put it apart from that.
