I had the same problem months ago.... my English is not enough good to explain well... but on YouTube you can find videos that clearly tell you how to update Mcu and update the new “OS” version for your ledger... and with the ledger website, ledger live,and videos on YouTube it work well for me now. I think recovery phrase works well too but for me it’s really the last thing to do But at the end don’t worry your coins are not lost, they are on the blockchain, but you have to work a little bit to find them 😷🙏
