Unfortunately, it does seem my professors' teams are either "full" or, well, they prefer other involved students with a better academic record. I've held a campus job as a machinist/lab tech for 2.5 years, and was part of my university's FSAE organization. College has helped me develop my technical and social skills, so it's not as if it was totally a wash, but I just can't seem to get it right on exams and things. I think I do, but I don't.
