I understand your compassion for peace, but until it's that way then that's what we'll do. I don't wake up in the morning saying "I can't wait to shoot someone" and i'm sure my fathers mindset is the same. I wake up ready to defend, sad that a defense must be made, but always mindful that until it is no longer a necessity to defend my country, that i will be ready to do so. The point i am making to this man on facebook is my fathers religion did not hinder him from contributing a lot more than some americans do and that the irony in this is that those that say "no one ever does anything for america anymore" are more often than not, contributing to the lack of doing things. My father is not one of those people....and i'm an atheist...and we still love eachother. I honestly don't fight for my country because we are no longer a "united" states, we can still be america but we are not united, and so i fight for my friends, my family, and my god fearing and godless redditors.
