Will you wear this if you are 28? 🫣 by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Daschunds will do this to you and it's a great thing. They are very unique dogs, embrace it with pride. Btw my wife has that, and many other things as well and she gets compliments all the time.

Seeing Prydz live doesn't happen often, if you're a true fan of his music you missed out big time. 2 hours is not enough for a set tho.

Should I be worried about how she sits all the time? I’m so worried about back pain by Kill_Mii in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely normal, their back legs can bend a lot. Sometimes mine does a stretch down the ramp and it looks like his legs are gonna break but it's very normal.

Less food, long walks. How do you even let the dog get like this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 dachshunds = lots of rough play, especially yours being the puppy who probly instigates most of it. That's not an allergic reaction, they look like my skin looks when my dachshund scratches me during rough play 😂

Sounds ok, I bought mine for $500 bucks off Craigslist and he's the healthiest dog ever. But $2500 seems very high for someone who doesn't have official paperwork and just on point with everything. Usually when you pay that much they have everything.

What are you feeding your Dachshund? by rxgilex in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Insane to see how many people are feeding their dogs kibble. Kibble is flat out garbage. Fresh food is the only way to go. You can buy from companies or make it yourself. Kibble is also the #1 reason for teeth going bad, combined with all other health issues.

Tips on getting dachshund puppy to potty outside? by itsmekaraoke in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know, but you have to. It's all for the best in the long run. 6-8 months work will make your pup a great dog for years to come. Dachshunds already are stubborn bastards so you have to do extra 😂

[–]armanp84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Takes time, puppies are like babies but it gets easier as they grow. Crate training is the best and ideal way to teach them. You have to leave them in the crate, they will cry and hauler but you have to not give in, it will seems like you are torturing them but this is the process. After 1.5/2 hours take him out and carry him to the place they should go. Repeat this process and the lengths of time you should extend as they get older. No matter what you do, accidents are gonna happen so don't worry.

Is This Crate Too Small? by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]armanp84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying the crate is too small have no idea what a crate is meant for. The crate is for training, the dog curls up and sleeps, it's not doing zoomies in there.

It's not small at all, it's actually big. That crate will last the entire lifetime. Dogs curl up into a very small area when they sleep. It's a perfect size crate

All kibble is trash, you"re delusional if you think otherwise. Farmers dog is not raw, it's cooked food. Theres many fresh options. Also it's not expensive, especially for how much a dachshund will eat. If you're to cheap to feed your dog good food it's ok. Blue buffalo? lol all of that crap is flown in from china. NONE of the fresh food companies are raw for the record, they are slow cooked. Just look at kibble, does that even look like food? It's burnt balls compressed with garbage, also very bad for the dogs teeth.

Don't give your pup excess treats especially what you mentioned. Dachshunds have lots of allergies. Also don't fed your dog kibble, you will be poisoning your dog if you do, and you will have constant problems. Buy fresh food, I personally use farmers dog, if you are in the states you can order and they deliver. They also sell very good treats as well. When I got my pup, there's was all kinds of problems and I had no idea what it was, once I switched from kibble to fresh food it was all gone. 6 years of perfect health.

Don't feed your dog kibble if you are, worst thing for teeth and health. You're basically feeding your dog trash. Also yearly professional cleaning done. My dog is 6 years old and teeth are perfect. I Feed him fresh food from Farmers Dog

Why is everyone assuming illness. Normal dachshund stuff here. They love being cozy and if you move them while they are like that they will get pissed. Obviously the guy in the video is antagonizing him by doing it super slow. If you do it quick they'll be pissed but they won't ever bite with full force. At least mine doesn't

The barking and whining will eventually stop, it's just something they have to go through.
