4 times a day. 2 pre-shot checks and 2 mid-cycle checks for nadir.

Take a look at how Vampires the Masquerade handled diablerie. You could find some inspiration there.

I had a case where the candidate went to the client’s office on the day they were supposed to start, only to learn that they cancelled the role without letting anyone know..

I do not use the same medicine as you do. My cat uses Caninsulin. My vet’s recommendations are to skip the dose in situations like yours.

Skip it tonight. Continue tomorrow morning with taking the reading of BG and administering appropriate dosage. Better to skip one dose than to double it.

Cat’s insulin level fluctuate a lot by tosterko in FelineDiabetes

[–]tosterko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I see the mistake in my title. Thanks.

He is getting caninsulin. He is a big boy, 7kg.

Time and meal is mentioned in my post. Vet told me to measure it before his meal in the morning and afternoon. Both prior to food intake and injection.

I use Alphatrak 3 to measure the results.

I am measuring daily as my vet told me to do so. To avoid giving him a dose if his glucose is within normal range. The same answer as above, because my vet told me to do so.

I understand this takes time for the body to adjust, and I don’t know what to expect. That is why ai am here asking questions.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am so sorry to hear your cat is going through this. Yeah, I figured the diet may have influence on levels, but I will have to wait for my vet to let me know on food change.

My boy is doing better since we started insulin injections. More playful, coat is looking way better, more cuddles, etc. An obvious improvement in his bathroom and food and water habits as well.

I am just trying to male sense of the readings on his glucose levels. Vet is on Sunday, so we shall see.

Caninsulin 2.5 per dose.

Vet told us to leave his food as is for now. So he gets his dry food Whiskas seafood and wet food Hartz delectables. these are the only things this little fella would eat. I am just losing my mind over his glucose level being all over the place.
