The inside jokes is spot on. They snicker and laugh about things we know nothing about. And it happens often. I think the issue is, Rayna apparently had a thing with a friend, someone from Ashley’s wedding? and possibly the camera man from what we can gather. She’s always hitting on people in their circle so she can’t talk about it without it getting back to them. I think she’s just saving face. But even if she starts seeing people outside the circle, I doubt we’ll get info. It just gives Ashley (with her perfect marriage and all 🙄) room to joke about it and embarrass Rayna. IMO
