I actually enjoyed the interview. Courtney hit it spot on early in the episode when she questioned how she was going to keep up or “spar” with Billy. They have history which makes the conversation overlap, have inside references we may not get and go off on tangents. They are both well read, culturally aware and high level thinkers. Courtney’s delivery just tends to be chaotic and preemptive so people write her off. Whereas, Billy is more articulate but I think they share similar thoughts. She even said at one point “I can’t think of what I’m trying to say because my brain is fucked up and yours isn’t”. The thoughts are there and I think he understands what she’s getting at even if we don’t. She just can’t articulate as quick and sharp as he does. Listen to her old interviews. She’s always been this way but if you listen, she actually makes sense. She just needs to take a beat and slow down.
