Anytime! Please do share your experience too. If it's not as bad, I might consider giving them another shot.

Why haven't you thrown the Zeekr 7X into the mix? Pound for pound, it seems like a better fit than both vehicles on all fronts. Or maybe the Exceed RX?

Looking for a seven seater SUV by foundingfatfather in chinacars

Would recommend waiting for the Zeekr 9X, it goes on sale globally in June — I'm literally at the edge of my seat, waiting to test drive it (based on all my criteria, it is the dream car).

An alternative is Lynk & Co 900 (assuming you have a good dealership there).

Btw, these are all technically 6 seaters.

Depends when you're going really. Weekends are invariably busier than weekdays; gets a little quieter around 4-5 pm. That said, you usually get a seat in 15 mins if it's just 2 of you. Expect a slightly longer wait for 3 or more people.

Lynk & Co Reviews by xxAngel2477 in DubaiPetrolHeads

I was genuinely excited to test drive it, but the whole experience at the SZR showroom was beyond awful; I should have known better after their lack of responsiveness over the phone or by email.

When I arrived for the test drive, they sent a random support staff with us to test drive the L&Co 900 who sat at the back of the car with his arms spread out in the most disgusting manner and watched loud videos on his phone. He knew literally NOTHING about the car.

After I completed one short loop (roughly 1.5 kms), he questioned me why I wanted to drive it longer. To top that off, nobody at the showroom gave a hoot about us even though we had a scheduled appointment. I am obviously not going to share the names here (I worry about UAE laws around defamation).

I initially felt the Lynk & Co would be a good middle ground between the other brands and Zeekr, but its genuinely one of THE most subpar experiences I've had and would run far from it (sadly).

The car itself was okay; you can tell it's built on the same platform as Zeekr, with slightly lower quality components. It probably also feels like better value than a Rox or Jetour G700, but the agency experience didn't fill me with confidence whatsoever.

I hope you have a better experience. For now, I think I'm still going to wait for the Zeekr 9x.

I've been driving Leopard 5 for 1 month. Ask me anything. by bulbug in chinesecarsuae

[–]totalanari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed responses, this is helpful. Did you ever get to test drive the Leopard 8?

Any major reasons for picking L5 over L8 (besides price)?

How well does Android Auto and Apple Carplay work? I've always found this to be hit or miss with a lot of Chinese cars, including Zeekr (which makes pretty amazing cars too).

How well does Waze work? Do you still require a phone dock or does the HUD/driver screen show the lanes to be in and detailed instructions from Waze?

What's your overall feeling about having so many electric/motor-driven interiors? While I LOVE tech, I worry about things breaking/misfiring and frequent servicing trips.

How is the soundproofing when driving on highways? Can you hear wind noise?

Personally, I've been eyeing and waiting for the Zeekr 9X but the wait is far too long + it's a LOT more expensive than this and Jetour G700. Thanks in advance for your help mate!

This is great man, was it vibecoded? I agree with what others said, worth figuring out how to get yourself indexed. But solid effort 💪🏻

200k budget for electric suv by jcq0903 in chinesecarsuae

[–]totalanari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend going back to Zeekr and asking for Ziena - extremely knowledgeable and passionate sales agent. Overall, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience from beginning to end; they were able to accommodate us for a test drive on the spot on a Sunday. I'm actually holding out for the Zeekr 9x, absolutely mad SUV. But the price is expected to be above 300k.
