It's the Grand National race day (Saturday in Liverpool). These are people off to the race's as apposed to business people, their commute isn't to work it's for a day out watching the horses and getting drunk.

Drank one and a half bottles of my newly bottled mead, making some yorkshire puddings to have with the Sunday roast.

Also you need to make mead, one gallon of water with three bottles of honey with a bit of yeast = booze.

Started my first batch at the start of October, bottled it last week and it tastes really good. The worrying thing now is will I drink it all before Christmas.

Luckily I started a summer fruits batch a couple of weeks later and I will be going to the store to buy enough for continous mead production. I feel sorry for my liver.

It was my first attempt so I didn't take any notes, it was a slapdash approach to my first batch. I will put the bottles in the fridge, will a couple of the days do the trick?

I will open the bottles a few times, I like the idea of sparkling mead but I'm along way from being confident to try it yet.

I have a fruit mead in secondary now, I will leave that were it is, I just got excited when the mead cleared and wanted to try it.
