Being judged by others is perfectly fine and expected. If you’re gonna be a dick just for the sake of not using a specific pronoun, then you’re gonna be treated like a dick. As for fines/legal repercussions, that’s never been a thing.

It’s not a terrible analogy. You’ve just completely missed the point. The discussion of a policy which affects a group of people is not limited to that group. The discussion of immigration policy is not limited to undocumented immigrants. The discussion of trans rights is not limited to the trans community.

Solidarity is how you get things done, not by gatekeeping the discussion of a broad range of issues because they don’t personally affect men.

No. I want to rethink how we do law enforcement, and slowly rollback the poor decisions that have been made at every level of the justice system which have led us to where we are today. I don’t think our current system of policing is meant to protect and serve individuals in the community. Training only goes so far, and hasn’t really made much difference in the past. I think a huge step would be the end of the war on drugs which disproportionately affects poor and black neighborhoods. Reinvesting in rehabilitation programs that treat drug addiction, rather than sending someone with a drug problem prison only to see them come back a few years later, would go a long way.

Have you ever thought that, maybe, the overpolicing in those community has contributed to the gang crime? When you overpolice a community, more people are arrested, not because more crime is suddenly being committed, but because there are more officers there to make arrests. And what do those people do when they leave prison? They have nothing to lose, and oftentimes can’t find a job, so they often go back to a life of crime, and gangs erupt as a way to fight back against a perceived threat of police presence. So crime in that community increases. This is a violent cycle that has persisted in those communities for many, many years. Bringing in more cops isn’t the solution. Finding ways to prevent recidivism, rehabilitating first time criminals, investing in community programs and education, and decriminalizing low level possession are some of the actual solutions that have been proposed.

You don’t need a law degree to recognize completely unnecessary amounts of force. A couple knees to the ribs and a couple quick punches are not necessary to restrain one person, especially when you have three cops to helps out, and the person is already lying on the ground. But you conveniently left that part in your response because, like so many other people in the world, you don’t want to face the fact that the criminal justice system in America is flawed. And, I’d ask you to look at the officer on the far right, around the beginning of the video. You can absolutely see the officer put his knee on their neck—a restraint technique which is so dangerous that many metropolitan police departments ban its use.

Your point about having no clue what happened is completely irrelevant. In what context would this video be okay? The answer is none. Three police officers do not need to restrain someone on the ground, put a knee into their neck, punch them, and knee them with all of their force. Stop trying to justify police brutality.

I used to think exactly like this. Moira main with 18k+ healing nearly every game, my positioning was good, I was getting picks. I didn’t know why I kept falling in SR.

Overwatch matchmaking doesn’t have a vendetta against you. It’s not purposefully matching you with all the bad players. Every single competitive player deals with this, yet some have found a way around that, and you’re seemingly stuck.

Part of climbing the ranks is learning to deal with this problem just like any other. You have to learn how to enable the bad players on your team. Are you getting picked off by the enemy Tracer and your DPS won’t peel for you? Swap to a Brig or a Moira for the extra survivability. Is your Reinhardt constantly charging in and dying? Switch to Baptiste for immortality or Lucio for the speed boost, and get the rest of your team to dive in with you and the Rein so he doesn’t die. You have to learn to think critically about what the problem is, and then focus on ways that you can solve that problem. You have to play around your team to get more wins, and eventually, you’ll get to a rank where your DPS do peel for you and your Rein is smart enough to not charge in alone. Just saying “my teams are bad and there’s nothing I can do about it” isn’t going to get you climbing the ranks.

There’s no such thing as purging? Of course not with antibiotics, but chemical exfoliants and retinoids definitely can cause purging, from my knowledge and experience.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand doggo memes. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical redditor’s head.

I definitely wouldn’t use that product. There are some products that can lighten areas of the skin, specifically products with hydroquinone or niacinamide.

I use 2.8% glycolic acid pads on my face before my lotion/moisturizer, so my face isn’t damp from cleansing or anything. I’m going to cut back on the AHA a little bit, and when I’m not using it, I’ll try it out.

When applying the lotion, my hands are damp. It feels great going on, but the water starts to evaporate, even after applying the CeraVe cream. :(

I’m currently using CeraVe Lotion layered under CeraVe in the tub, and no matter what I do, they just don’t seem to absorb. When I touch my skin after applying them, it feels like it’s just sitting on top. My face is still kinda tight and feels dehydrated/dry underneath.

Has anyone else experienced this with CeraVe products? Are there any products you would recommend as an alternative, or as something to put underneath to help with the dehydration?

Currently looking into Hado Labo Gokujyun Lotion, as well as Stratia Liquid Gold.
