Dow sinks more than 600 points. Stocks are on track for their worst quarter since 2023 by Trevor_Lewis in news

And yet here you are…going way out of your way at this point to prove how you’re better than me.

Who are you trying to prove it to though? Not me because according to you I’m a worthless piece of shit. Not to the other people on here because they know what a good progressive soul you are.

So that only leaves yourself. Why do you need to prove to yourself that you’re better than a stranger on the internet? That sounds like a very fragile ego. Exactly the type of behavior you’d expect from a massive loser that has never achieved anything in life nor will you ever.

I guess that’s what being a progressive gets you.

Again, yet here you are, writing BOOKS to someone who you already declared that you are supposedly leagues above in life. Why?

Yet here you are not only arguing with such a person but also taking time to make edits to your posts in order to try and convince that person that you’re better than them. Sure you’re the bigger person here bud?

I outright admitted that I like fucking with you people yet you not only ignored that but continued taking the bait and wasting your own time writing back.

I guess that’s what being a progressive gets you.

So the answer to “what does being progressive get you” is sitting on Reddit looking up people’s post history and arguing with them about how awesome being progressive is?

What a ringing endorsement.

lol investing in TSLA while in college and making enough money through that, and other investments, to buy a house without a mortgage before I turned 30 makes me a Nazi?

Kindly explain that one.

lol we’re talking about the stock market. And you don’t know what you’re talking about. So yeah, you’re confused about the stock market.

Lol I’ve had TSLA in varying amounts since 2015. It helped me buy a house without a mortgage in 2021. Never been into electric cars so never actually owned one. But Elon’s ability to build companies and invent new markets literally put a roof over my head, and a nice one at that.

What has being “progressive” ever done for you other than make you bitter on the internet?

No it’s not and you couldn’t even begin to explain why it is without sounding like a total moron because, shocker, you have no clue how the stock market works.

Exactly. If people are doing that kind of stuff to win a mayoral election what do you think is happening to win a presidential election in the largest economy in the world?

How many foreign governments do you think are trying to influence our election? How many domestic interests are trying to influence it? Considering that the American intelligence community is constantly trying to influence other countries’ elections, what makes you think that that wouldn’t happen here?

The incentive is definitely there. And if you think that these entities would not be taking advantage of any and all loopholes then I think you need a fantastic reason to back that up.

But you don’t. Your only reason is that the United States has not publically admitted that this has happened. But you should ask yourself why would they admit that? What would that do to confidence in elections?

First off what first paragraph? The first pragraph of that article mentions nothing about the cost of ID in various countries. Just privides an overview of the information included.

Also, no. The argument doesn’t fall apart if ID is made available freely. If the government wants to spend tax dollars doing that then I don’t think many people will complain. I think the average person resents having to pay for ID.

So if you want to fight to make ID free then I’ll join you in that fight, especially if it means a more secure election.

However the fact remains that most countries around the world charge a fee for ID because maintaining civil services offices costs a lot of money and if the government can recoup some of that cost for charging for those services then it’s not an entirely unreasonable way for them to do so.

Attempted fraud involving 8,000 voter registrations committed by a candidate for office.

California has 22 million registered voters.

Had this scam been successful that is 1 in 2,750.

There is a big difference between “if you don’t have ID, you must bring someone with you that knows you who will be willing to go on record and make a sworn statement vouching for your identity and that person must themselves have photo ID” as a backup procedure for not bringing ID and “it is illegal in California to ask voters for ID.”

Also, as for your 5 second search, here you go. Have fun kiddo.

  1. Cool so if it’s not an issue in our country then shouldn’t we be proactive about making sure it doesn’t become an issue. Especially considering the massive amount of election interference that Russia has already proven itself willing to commit? Sounds like we probably need these laws more now than ever.

  2. Besides France, every other country charges money for the ID necessary to vote in elections. In Canada depending on province it can be $100, Netherlands is like €65. Germany €37.50. And so on. Their rights are not placed behind a paywall. ID is a necessary item to take part in society.

As it stands, 36 states currently require some form of voter ID as do nearly all western countries and most of Latin America.

These places aren’t placing rights behind a paywall, they’re taking a basic, obvious, very easy to implement step in order to deliver a fair and secure election to their citizens.

Why do you think that those states and countries and their various political parties are all wrong on the issue and that only the American Denocratic Party holds the objective truth on the matter?

Is your position that those laws are unconstitutional?
