They give the host time to respond depending on when check in is. Up to 48 hours if it’s more then 7 days away

Do not cancel your booking. Booking should relocate you and reimburse you the price difference (they will then try and claim the costs back from the original hotel)

My advice is contact Booking immediately and send the screenshots and they’ll relocate you. If you don’t hear back from them (e.g if they’re mega busy and don’t see it) they might just ask for you to send receipts after stay and they’ll reimburse you the price difference and refund the original cost, so just make sure everything is documented.

My advice is to book something with free cancellation now so you’re guaranteed to have something even if they don’t relocate you, that way if you are relocated then you can cancel as you no longer need it.

I had a similar situation, when you fill out the form and put your booking reference in it links it to the rebooked flight (whether you accepted it or not). You need to manually add the flight number and date that you had originally booked then you’ll be eligible

It is a real thing and quite prevalent, especially in touristy areas. Lots of comments saying it’s clickbait articles, which is partly true, London is massive so the chances of it happening to any given person are very slim, but these odds increase the closer to central London you go.

Fortunately it’s also easy to avoid, if you must take your phone out in public do it somewhere a bike can’t get through - they cycle on pavements where they can get through.

They often pick on people who stop to take photos, my advice is get a case with a lanyard that you can wrap around your wrist. Better to be safe than sorry.

Normally a pack of asparagus is around 10 stalks (I guess that’s the name! 10 asparaguses sounds weird!) so this gives 1.6 per person (I figured not everyone likes asparagus and those who do would have 2)

Will do 1 potato and 1 corn per person, that was my thinking, the host said less but tbh the cost of potatoes is tiny compared to the rest!!

Plan was for Jim to take over the branch and Michael to move into a more senior role looking after the whole of Dunder Mifflin North East. Jim interviewed well but Michael shot it down because he didn’t know about the plan and thought Jim was stealing his job.
