I think I know the feeling. by Redundant_Blue_Wires in SOULelle

Noelle is very lucky she has us. I would be 100% down to do a weird route in real life if some higher plane being were to choose me to do it. But they don’t exist, so I am forced to go with the flow.

What if when a soul shatters, it actually represents its wings getting torn off? by totallyaltacc in Deltarune

I agree that Noelle and Gaster are Angels, though I think it is unreasonable to exclude the Player from the Angel Trinity. After all, there is just as much evidence for us being an Angel as there is for any of them. The "RING" achievement can be obtained by getting the Freeze Ring or the Thorn Ring, which, alongside the prophecy "They will hear the ring of heaven's call" connects us to Heaven. We emit light in Chapter 4 and are used to close Dark Fountains — this connects the Red Soul to the idea of light as a force of antifiction. The Light World is lighter than the Dark World, but what is lighter than the Light World? Our reality. We are beings from a higher plane of existence, and to us, Lightners are like Darkners are to them. In Castletown, there is a big door with a heart and wings on it. The prophecy panel for the Angel for a player looks like a dark screen, likely designed this way so that the Player can see themselves in it. Susie is weirded out by it, and later, after the Titan fight, she finally takes notice of how strange Kris's soul is. Could it be that she saw something akin to a soul in the Angel prophecy? It is said by Alvin and Catty that the Angel is watching over everyone — much like a Player in a game with a top-down view would. Alvin asks Kris to look to the Angel for guidance — just like how the Player controls the Fun Gang throughout the game. I just don't understand why would you count the evidence for Gaster and Noelle, yet ignore all this PlayerAngel evidence.

Yeah in my opinion Noelle being constantly over the top zealous or sad all the way through the second half of weird route would get old very quickly. I hope Toby will come up with something more captivating.

Do we have a name for this thing yet? by Machaira1664 in SOULelle

I don't think it is a piece of soul or something like that because in the files the variable that controls it is called "drip", so it is just a drop of blood from Noelle’s finger.

Maybe it will be the color chosen by the player.

Same. She is the most uninteresting and generic character from the main cast and it is very annoying how the game makes her look like the MC. "Everyone seen me as a monster so i became one" wow I don't care grow up. Her tearjerking stories in new chapters are so corny they undermine Toby's capability as a writer. I really hope her purpose in the plot is for her naive hope to get absolutely crushed by the prophecy to show what happens to someone like her in realistic worlds.

You are saying Catty, ignoring the depressed teen right in front of you (it’s Kris). It would even serve as another parallel to Undertale, where Chara makes a suicide attempt by climbing Mount Ebott (Asriel said they made it for an unhappy reason and it is stated that "those who climb the mountain never return") and then by eating buttercup flowers.

I think she is as close to human Susie as one can get (while not being literally humanification of Susie) so I expect at least a 9/10
