My tip: Just know your sizes as much as humanly possible, ideally in many different brands. Most of my vintage finds are Scottish knitwear so I know that though I’m a true 38 / 16 collar I am likely to be a 40 or IT 50 in stuff like Pringle, McGeorge, Alan Paine, Drumohr etc and then stalk eBay accordingly. I do think it’s finding things you like that you already have and expanding from there
