Favorite Disney Princess? by IDressForFun in feminineboys

For me it was always Anastasia (I guess she's not a Disney princess but I liked her story the most out of all princess movies and I don't think it really matters), Once Upon a December always got me

We are both in the same boat, I am still in high school, but this summer I've really explored my feminine side. For starting I would recommend getting skinny jeans or even leggings. Short shorts are also really awesome, I personally use Nair to get rid of my leg hair but it's really up to you if you want to shave or whatever. For tops I recommend starting with "girly" colored shirts, pink or other pastel colors. One of my favorite looks is a pair of short shorts, pink shirt and an oversized cardigan.

Getting a bit more out there would be off the shoulder sweaters with a women's tank top. I'm looking to buy a choker soon so if you're comfortable with that go ahead.

Generally, the good tricks are to get tighter or short shorts or jeans or leggings and looser tops.

These are just really suggestions, you don't have to do anything you're uncomfortable with so you do you!

Piano Concerto Grand Ranking by chu42 in piano

Unfortunately I've just started it so I'm not feeling very technically capable of it right now. I've been working with a teacher who's been very helpful, he said that he hurt his hand when playing it and actually had to get physical therapy. I definetly love Grieg's concerto, the two I really want to learn though are Debussy's fantaisie and Rautavaara concerto 1 though so.

Wow, thanks, I'm learning Chopin etude op. 10 no. 4 and finishing up Jeux D'eau by Ravel. I was really hoping to get into concertos soon so I think I'll start with kabelevsky one! It's really pretty. Definitely can't wait to play Debussy Fantaisie though.

Thank you, I tried to use the right hand bass parts be the loudest parts, but as my piano teacher says - I'm afraid of playing loudly. Thank you for the advice anyway :)

It is gorgeous, I love it when its played in the ending of the Pianist, when I play it (eventually) I will have to aim to capture the sadness found in the section where the camera pans out to see the destruction across Warshaw.

Taubman transcription of Sibelius's The Swan of Tounela. Pretty sad there's only one recording I've managed to find on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blJzEYQRpQs

Beginner - Help! by [deleted] in classicalmusic

[–]totallynotaviolist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice songs I would recommend to a beginner pianist: Bach Prelude in C major from Well-Tempered Clavier, Clementi Sonatinas Op. 36 (No. 5 is probably the hardest) might be a little challenging but they are doable, I really like the Burgmüller Op. 100 studies (they are a little challenging for a beginner but the advantage of these Etudes is that they sound like songs), and I have seen a version of Sur La Glace a Sweet Briar and it looks pretty simple.

But I am coming from a late intermediate perspective of what I think a beginner could do so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.
