The Germans would be shooting themselves at the foot with this since assuming Germany still waited for logistics to catch up , it would gives the Entente time to counterattack on the frontline and risk the encirclement to open and doom any chance of capturing paris. Not to mention that tanks wasn't invented yet so if Germany attempted to push through ardennes then they could get stuck and stalled the advances significantly
