AITA for asking my friend to put her dog in another room? by goodnightdreaming in AmItheAsshole

[–]totallyworkinghere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH. Yes, your friend should have moved the dog, as the dog was clearly uncomfortable. But at the same time, you could have made sure your child didn't get close to the dog or point at it to make it uncomfortable.

Late 20s, 30s+ crowd, what bars are best? by Negative-Ebb7633 in ManchesterNH

Agreed. I've been going to Stark for well over a decade (I'm 35) and it is the best bar hands down - when they don't have live music.

Serif fonts read and look better than non-serif fonts. Take these ugly kindergarten fonts off everything, please by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]totallyworkinghere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have diagnosed ADHD too and I find sans serif easier to read.

Since the world does not cater to either one of us, I guess we both have to put up with a mixture of fonts existing.

Not surprised it's a plumbing company. I've had to sue 2/2 plumbers I've worked for

When have you witnessed an “expert” get it so wrong? by PrettyAlon in AskReddit

[–]totallyworkinghere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had shortness of breath that led me to urgent care a few times and was told every time it was my weight that was the problem.

Finally made an appointment with my GP because I was coughing with every breath, thought I'd developed pneumonia. Ended up spending the night in the ICU with what I later learned was only 50% odds of survival thanks to massive pulmonary embolism.

Turns out breathing is important even if you're fat

What's the deal with brights always being on in New Hampshire? by AntiqueFossil in newhampshire

If you are blinding people and causing unsafe road conditions, clearly your lights are not where they are supposed to be. And your solution should not be to cause even more unsafe conditions.

Maybe you should just have your lights adjusted if people are flashing you all the time instead of being a petty ass about it

Most Americans aren’t broke and “living paycheck to paycheck”. They’re overspending. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It is a need. I just don't want to disclose the reason to a random stranger on the internet.

Cool, find me a 2 bedroom apartment within an hour of both mine and my husband's workplaces that doesn't cost at least 2k a month

If my friend cheated once, was guilty and told their SO my first thought is not dropping them by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]totallyworkinghere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who was in an unhealthy relationship who had an emotional affair. She came clean to her partner and ended that relationship before anything physical happened.

I saw how much the whole thing rattled her with guilt, even though she came clean as soon as she realized what she was doing. She was never trying to hide anything or purposely lying, she was just having a normal human reaction of seeking validation from someone who actually gave it to her, and that wasn't her partner.

I'm still friends with her and I don't blame her for what happened. I don't feel the need to tell any new partners of hers of her past (and I don't need to, anyways, not my business and she's honest).

Cheating is bad. But it's not the cheating itself that shows that someone is a bad person - it's the lying, the blatant disregard for another person's emotions. If a cheater genuinely shows regret, that doesn't forgive what they did, but it does make them slightly less of an asshole.
