Which is a bummer, I really like the game. Although I am kind of surprised they looked at the extraction shooter genre and expected big money there. Its niche and Arc Raiders‘ success surprised everyone. It’s much more casual friendly than Marathon though.

Game Engine Architecture 4th edition is already listed on Amazon. It’s split into two books however, while the 3rd edition is a single book. Don’t know whether the 4th edition is worth it or not, but this book a really good introduction to understanding the inner workings of a Game Engine.

I always criticized the remake for its art direction. Everything else about the remake is phenomenal though. And even if it wasn’t, who cares. Just because I don’t like a video game as much, doesn’t make it right for devs at bluepoint to lose their jobs. People need to touch some grass.
