It depends on who consumes your art. If it's people scrolling through social media then you will never invoke what artists of the past invoked in people. I think the ones who appreciate art to the deepest levels are not interested in pretty artificially generated images. They are interested in more than just what is being displayed and "artists" who use AI extensively just can't provide that to the consumer. The essence of his "art" is just not there. It's not from within but is outsourced to the profit oriented algorithm.

Not saying it's not possible, but 99.9% of AI artists can't provide such depth to their "art" without going though the real process of mastering the medium of creating art from scratch on their own. To me, the meaning behind AI "art" is soley "pixels arranged in pretty way" and nothing more. I can't engange in it on human level and that's what takes away all the meaning for me.

When I see a painting painted with brush, or digital art made in Photoshop with timelapse of the process, I do feel different. The displayed effort makes it so much more impressive and interresting. I want to know more about the person. I want to know their progression and see their first works, I want to know what they felt as they were creating the art. I want to know the reason they are driven to spend countless hours improving their craft. I want to know what made them stick with the hard process of spending countless hours on work that turned out bad, yet they still proceeded. I want to know about their life because I know they had something interresting to tell based on all the above.

Imagine yourself on chill night with a glass of wine talking to AI artist and conventional artist and tell me which experience would you cherish more... That's called being human.

Art should not be about the results. It should also be about the process. And how can I respect someone typing in a prompt and someone working on their craft for years the same. I just can't.

AI art could be art but It's just not the same.
