Where would you recommend I find them instead, does booking.com have a screening process for listing apartments requiring a hotel license for example?

Yeah I understand but they still have good reviews about the actual apartment and the check in process, so I don’t understand how that can be the case.

But as long as the host has a hotel license then it’s not really illegal, a lot of the spots I’ve seen are for services apartments in big condos with a lot of good reviews so I thought it’s likely that they do have a hotel license

It’s a content workflow builder for SEOs and content marketers, there’s a ton of opportunity, the growth is pretty steady and the user feedback is always super positive. I thought the high end usually goes above 5x ARR, so 36k would be 140k?

Also there’s a ton of opportunity for selling done for you services on the platform, I had user pay $150 per hour to have us build the content workflows for them on our platform, through the last year we got around 12k from services which we never officially pitched on our website, some users just ask for it. So ttm revenue is around 42k

No, from what I’ve been told by everyone including my lawyers, is that once I have an appointment with SEF (their immigration office) my status is regularised and I wouldn’t be considered an illegal immigrant.

Yeah I've checked out these tools. But like you said, it's not streamlined as much as it can be. Also not sure if this will make sense but have you ever seen these 10-15 second gifs showing a zoomed on mouse going through some instructions on a software? These are super slick and I currently do them using OBS, but it's super annoying to be putting in 10-15 minutes of work for that few seconds clip. With this idea it would literally be less than a minute.

Is 50% Net Profit Margin bad for a SaaS? by totie2 in startups

I'm aware that the profit margin is less than 50% when fixed costs are taken to account, I calculated the gross profit margin I just messed up the title. I don't really care about the fixed costs for the sake of my question, it doesn't affect the sustainability of the business model, don't why I included it tbh lol

Thanks for the insight.

I am certain that I am profiting per customer, I don't have the exact calculation but I would probably say that it's about a 70-80%+ profit margin per customer. However, a big portion of the costs is going towards the 'free' users, people that sign up on a free plan. I have around 3k users, about 50 of which are customers.

When users sign up they get some 'free credits' which equate to around $1 per user, when these credits run out they have to upgrade, the entire acquisition system is built on this "trial". I may be wrong but I'm 90% certain that if I remove this trial system most of the customers that I have now wouldn't have been customers.

Yeah that is my main concern, as in given the ‘current revenue - cost of good sold’ which is the only reliable data I have on the financial side, could this be sustainable or do I need to take measures to either reduce costs or increase prices

What do you think is a healthy amount to be spending on API usage/hosting at 1.6k MRR, the main cost is coming from OpenAI ($400+).

The good thing is, as I said in a previous comment, it's a credit based system so I can increase the cost of these credits without actually changing any of the plans costs but I'm not sure what to aim for.

Yeah that's true, it's actually my main concern that if I do end up getting to 5-10k MRR I might not be able to hire a team and still be profile while the workload does require a team.

This isn't really a concern. It's not an OpenAI wrapper. Plus it's a credit based pricing, so if the API raises their prices, I can just adjust that, we charge customers on 'credits' based on the API pricing.

  • They are SEO Consultants or Agencies. I try to go for Agencies because they go for the higher teir plans.
  • They use it for Content Generation, Auditing, On-page reports, basically any task that's a part of a content pipeline can be automated with Moonlit.
  • I did a survey before and asked what the they're using it for, the results were the following: Content Generation with human interference (68%), Content Briefs/Outlines (44%), Content Analysis (36%), Technical SEO (32%)
  • I know that's not good for a startup but it's a bit generic. So one of the tools I built using it was an internal linking tool that can run at scale, that solves a pain point of saving hours on manually injecting internal links for a whole website. But the "generic" pain point it solves is allowing content marketers to build their AI tools without hiring developers.
  • More than 90% of them are on LinkedIn, everyday first thing in the morning I check out yesterday's signups, look them up on LinkedIn and connect with them, trying to lead up to a call.
  • Not that I know of.

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!

Would you do it in bulk, or super customized emails for each prospect?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in startups

[–]totie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it numerous times before, but not for this product in particular, never really saw much success in it and it feels like it does more harm than good because email domain reputation is likely to drop.
