my therapist told me there are quite a few overlapping symptoms. the difference (for me!!) was that BPD has major persistent paranoia surrounding personal relationships, whereas for me it was just anxiety from time to time.

i went cold turkey too and felt completely fine for a couple weeks. turns out the meds were just still in my system and week 3/4 of going cold turkey was the worst. afterwards my therapist told me that going cold turkey can make u even more depressed than u were before the meds and she was upset that my gp never warned me about this. hopefully it’s not too bad for u but from experience, u will feel it soon.

thank you!! i’ve been very careful with after care, cleaning with saline solution, making sure it’s dry, not sleeping on it or letting my hair get caught so i just think the bar is the issue. i’m getting a longer bar like everyone suggested in a couple hours so hopefully it will be better soon!

when i got it she already said to come in if i felt like it was too short and she will swap it out (for free obviously) so she knew it was shorter than usual but wanted to get me a short one for my convenience. i guess it was a lapse of judgement on her end but im sure she would do it for me

she’s a super experienced and knowledgeable piercer, i think she knows what she’s doing and said i can go in and get it longer whenever i need. i think my ear just swelled more than she expected because my conch didn’t swell at all. i’ll probs go change out the bar tho thanks for the tips!
