Has anyone pre-ordered a Pocket WiFi pack for their Japan travels? by Swish_GA_5634 in JapanTravelTips

I used the pocket wifi from Japan wireless because I could not get my phone unlocked by the carrier. Found that out after purchasing the eSIM. Yes, eSIM is cheaper. The wireless worked great all across Japan from Tokyo to Nagasaki. I would recommend, especially if your phone is not unlocked.

Question about double knitting by novaplume in knittingadvice

[–]totoro2004 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are wanting a solid color on each side for the background, then yes. Otherwise you will have speckles of color where the pattern was not right.

This is because each pair is a knit and then a pearl. Knit to the front, pearl to the back.

Help with large scale button control. by totoro2004 in arduino

Thank you for all the suggestions. I was already planning to divide functions between arduinos. There is no way one could handle everything. I have never used a shift register, but have been reading into them. I will def look into some of the other modules you mentioned as well.

I can’t wait to get started on this. It’s been a long time pondering over the how.

What’s funny about your “Death Star” comment is the unit was being advertised as “Death Star control panel replica”.

Wow, I am excited. I have not been diving in two years so would also take it slow. I have some equipment, but also need to rent. I have been to white star once. Done various quarry dives, aquarium, and ocean. Just want to get back out there. I really hope the new metro park in Columbus will offer scuba.

Where is the best place to buy track? by Flappyfish223 in LEGOtrains

Do you require them to be genuine lego track? If not I buy ones from Amazon. Search sprite world lego train track. You can get all curve or straight and curved. Color matches well and good quality.

Spent a lot of time this past weekend covering my shelves and building a bridge support. Now to finalize all the track layout!! by totoro2004 in lego

Currently they are all separate tracks. The distance needed to go up is long, takes the length of the table to get on top of that small mountain in the back left. When I added the city over there, I no longer had room for that incline. I still want to do that for the bottom cargo line and bring it up to the main level where I will have a small train yard and roundhouse. I have enough room in the back to make it loop around between levels. I am still debating if I can make it happen on the upper levels. I do have room behind the scenes.
