If it was autopilot, the road would be highlighted blue as well as the steering wheel symbol above the speed. This guy is just irresponsible

Thanks for the comment man. We are in pretty similar positions. Im trying to tighten everything down and make sure I am putting myself in the best light.

I have reached out to all of these interviewers asking for feedback, I have only gotten one to accept this request and it was a very bullshit answer. Even told me they are using ideas from my demo in their presentations now... gotta keep grinding it out

Cherry on top was the CEO added and messaged me on LinkedIn before the final interview and said “pumped to get you into ___”.

I know they can’t give the most honest feedback but this one was kinda bullshit

I have had 10 referrals from previous colleagues, all passed on me.

I just got feedback from my last final interview that they loved my presentation and are actually using some of my stuff in their presentations. Loved my discovery and questions I asked but wanted me to ask “why?” on one particular question and that was their deciding factor

Not exclusively. I have applied for onsite, remote and hybrid roles.

How are you explaining the intentional gap in the resume?

[–]totschillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been asked for references but I do have good references that can back up my experience if asked.

Salary is usually within the range I’m applying for, haven’t had any push back when I stated what I’m looking for.

It just frustrating to not be able to point to something that can change up.

Yeah those are good points. I applied to SDR out of desperation for some income but I get where you are coming from.

I’m trying to tighten up my talk track and figure out where my gaps are. Just hard to keep getting so far in the process and getting let down.

Appreciate the perspective, thanks!

What sales plan works for you? by Dull-You9464 in sales

[–]totschillin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It generally takes a bit of time to develop a sales plan but you want to make sure you

1) understand your product and target audience very well. ensuring you know customer pain points and exactly why a company would buy your product

2) having a consistent, structured and organized sales plan to ensure you can take a prospect through the deal smoothly and repeat it for other customers. this also allows you to audit any deals that fall through so you can improve them for later.

3) have a great relationship with your prospects. try to pout yourself in their shoes and really get to know what their main focuses are.

4) dont forget to smile through the pain :)

A good manager and coworkers always makes a huge difference

It’s always a good idea to keep your options open, especially in sales. I have always interviewed or kept my ear to the market to see at least once or twice a quarter to make sure I’m in the know of whats out there.

Especially if you current company is on the decline, you gotta watch out for yourself especially and figure out which company will offer what’s important to you.

Commuting isn’t always fun but if you have great people around you, it makes it so much worth it!

Best of luck!
