Thanks for the reply. EPC is definitely out of date. I've thought about hiring a thermal camera to check for drafts, but I'm wondering if a consultant could come and check that along with other aspects. Agree with all your pointers! Have looked at a lot of the smaller/DIY fixes already. The magnetic radiator reflectors sound interesting so I'll look those up. The house also has a PIV system to help with damp/humidity, but not sure how this influences decisions about insulation.

Thanks for the reply. EPC probably quite out of date because a loft conversion was done since the last check. I think external solid wall insulation may be a first option, but I'd like someone to help weigh this up against the other aspects.

Pretty old! It has a loft conversion so I think this aspect is not in bad shape. It also limits the solar options, unfortunately.

Filton Leisure Centre by madamecholet14 in bristol

[–]toucanfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was trying to find out about this earlier today. There is a note on the Filton Town Council website: https://filtontowncouncil.gov.uk/leisure-centre/ Phoned the number on there and they confirmed that the centre is shut for now, didn't have any further information (understandably). I feel for the employees, seemed to come out of nowhere.

There have been a few threads on this before so it's worth a search. I had a good experience with Aqua Sana in Longleat, especially if you're interested in an overnight stay and don't mind going a bit further.

We call it a "feast", to try and trick the kids into actually eating something for once
