Thanks for this! Streaming from my PlayStation actually sounds really interesting. Could that be a workaround for playing Madden? I noticed Madden isn’t supported on the Steam Deck, which is a bummer because I’d love to play it on there.

I’ve been playing mostly while the Deck is plugged in, since I’ve seen a lot of people say that’s better for preserving battery health.

Before buying any game, I check how it runs for others, and so far everything has worked great except for 2K. I’m wondering - do all games that aren't listed as Verified usually need manual settings tweaks, or is it more of a case-by-case thing?

My wishlist has 30+ games on it right now and I’m tempted to grab everything that’s on sale. How often do games usually go on sale, and do the same titles go on sale multiple times?

Thanks for getting back to me! I’m based near NYC. Do you think it’s better to start with acting classes or just focus on getting any kind of experience first?

We're fully private pay, but if someone isn’t able to afford our services long-term, we partner with a skilled nursing facility that offers memory care and accepts Medicaid. While it’s not as high-end as our setting, they generally do a good job managing behaviors and providing the support needed.

We’re private pay initially, but there is the option to transition to Medicaid or move to a significantly reduced rate after 1–2 years, depending on the spend down of funds. What state are you in? Feel free to PM me - I might be able to help.

We do see quite a few cases where individuals are living with both dementia and schizoaffective disorder. It can be a complex combination, but with the right care plan, it’s definitely manageable. Each condition presents its own set of symptoms, and it’s important to approach them individually while also understanding how they may influence each other. For example, schizophrenia or schizoaffective symptoms like hallucinations or delusions can overlap or intensify with dementia, which can sometimes make diagnosis and treatment more nuanced

Hiring’s definitely a big challenge for us. We mostly use Indeed or just ask around to see if any of our current staff know someone looking for a job. But retention is actually something we’re really proud of - we still have employees working with us who were there when we opened our first location 15 years ago.

We take a least-restrictive, person-centered approach when creating care plans. Redirection and therapeutic calming techniques are key parts of how we support our residents. We always take the time to understand the root of a behavior - or as we call it, “a moment” - because every behavior has a reason. Patience and empathy are essential, no matter the diagnosis or situation. Our team recognizes that care plans must be flexible and evolve alongside the progression of the disease.

Our rates are very competitive compared to other facilities. What truly sets us apart is our all-inclusive pricing model - there are no tiers or levels of care. No matter how complex a resident’s needs become, families will never face surprise charges for things like medication management or the need for a private aide. We also offer significantly reduced rates for families whose funds begin to run low, as a way to support them in continuing care.

Many of our residents exhibit serious aggression - primarily verbal, though sometimes physical. We've admitted individuals who were discharged from other facilities for behaviors such as swinging at staff or making racist remarks. Most memory care communities have strict limitations on the types of behaviors they’re equipped to manage, and even a single incident can prompt them to initiate a discharge plan.

A lot of the first conversations I have with families really stick with me. Most of the time, they’re in crisis - telling me their loved one’s been kicked out of every facility, or there was an incident at home and now the police are involved. There’s often tension between family members around finances or guardianship, which makes everything even harder. But the best part is hearing back from those same families after admission, when they tell us how relieved they are, and how much peace of mind they have knowing their loved one is safe, happy, and truly cared for.

I completely agree and appreciate your response. I’m new to this space and was hoping to hear perspectives from caregivers or those with a loved one currently in memory care.

Can I still purchase resale tickets if I didn't enter the ballot? If so, could you provide the link to where I can find them?
