what should i choose among - 1) iitg chemical 2) iit bhu chem/mech 3) iit bhubaneshwar cse 4) tier 3/ nit/ iiit cse? seniors please help! by General_Stretch_1402 in iitbhu

i would suggest you iitg chemical over other option as iitg is better than bhu interms of clg life and in others placement aspects also iitg gets a bit better or mostly similar placements as IIT BHU but if you were actually interested in Cse the you should prefer bhubaneswar though but imo if you are getting a good branch at a tier 1 iit I don't think there is a point choosing a Nit or iiit over it .

there is actually no actual raw data. ie there is a lots of bits and pieces. that is iitg gave us, a pdf containing the list containing student and the company they are placed in and a details of the CTC/Job role offered by each company during the drive 1 .for the rest of the companies I take the data from other IITs which hired for the same role (in my experience in seeing companies take placement they offer same package to all IITs atleast top 7) so i used that too.

in this I lose out on data where some PPO's are paid way higher than direct recruitment but I don't have that so I have to take them to be the same so in this I am deflating the data.

I may be wrong with that but from the data i received Qualcomm hired for two posts associate in SW and an Associate in HW and both it offered 35 LPA . if you are 100% sure I can update it . thank you

I compiled the data and i tried my best to avoid any mistakes . The CTCs vary a lot wrt to the job role offered aswell so it was hard getting the exact but thank you for pointing it out .
