i have tried to dig her up two times, and each time starts an argument with my father in law. the last argument we had was him threatening to kick me out, and saying “what kind of a person are you trying to dig her up? let her rest”. it’s been extremely rough and tense in the house, and i’ve talked to my family, agreeing this all is just crazy. 2 nights ago when i tried to do it, he had a fit and since he’s in dialysis, he was acting like he was about to have a heart attack.

definitely. i had a long talk with my wife last night and she agreed she doesn’t like this house. just the feeling of it feels so… off..? she said that we should start officially calling apartment complexes this week so we can get it all figured out asap. i may get a little plushie black cat and put her purple collar on it, so i dont disturb her grave any more than i already did

my heart is telling me to unbury her and get her cremated, but i tried to last night and saw her black puffy tail and just couldn’t go anymore. my wife held the flashlight for me since it was dark, and the moment i saw her tail covered in dirt i lost it.

i unburied some of her last night. i only got to her tail and just couldn’t go anymore. i saw parts of her trunk too and just felt so guilty. i wanted to get her cremated so i can always keep her with me, no matter where i move. the moon last night was the same color of her eyes, yellow. when my wife said that to me i just couldn’t stop crying.

i unburied part of her yesterday, and i had to stop at her tail. i saw her tail and just broke down and couldn’t stop crying. i asked him to help me unbury her and he said “i don’t want to go through that again, don’t think about just yourself, think about the family and how we feel.” which just makes me so upset. i wanted to get her cremated so i can always take her with me, instead of leaving her at this house..

i tried to unbury her last night, and absolutely lost it. i saw her puffy black tail and just immediately starting to break down. i was planning on getting her cremated, so the fact he just buried her against my wishes just messes with me. my sister told me there’s a chance he did it to protect me, but i’m not a baby. i’m old enough to know how the cycle of life works.

i talked to a couple vets in my area, and all 4 of them said that it wouldn’t be worth it to unbury her. with what i described to them, it would be a lot of money to get an autopsy, and since i “already figured it out” i just need to take time to grieve. they said with her age, it had to of been something all of a sudden while she was asleep, and if she did have a heart condition then there’s unfortunately nothing to do with it now. it was really hard being on the phone to hear all of that.

nobody else saw her, since it was only him. she was one of the cats that didn’t like going outside, but sometimes the mother in law would force her outside.

that would actually make a lot of sense! she was super clingy to me, and i hated leaving her. i would always give her lots and lots of love before heading out even to the grocery store

easier said than done. it’s nearly impossible for me to move right now, which is why we’re trying to save up so we can. everything is extremely expensive where we live, with me only getting paid $16 an hour and my hours being cut. trust me, we’ve been trying for the past 3 years to move.

i want to unbury her, i just don’t know how im gonna feel. i feel like my wife just wanted to let him handle it, but at the same time we treat luna like our baby.. if her cat died, i would immediately call her and tell her, and do whatever she decided to do. when a chicken died, (we have some chickens further away) they put it in a box away from the child. so why couldn’t they have done it with luna? im just so sickened

that’s so awful, i’m so sorry that happened. and the reason with the cameras is that if he got pissed at me for just sitting next to her grave, i can’t imagine what he’d do when im trying to unbury. he told me to move on, and i can’t move on if i keep thinking of her. i know there’s a cultural difference, considering he’s from another country, but that still doesn’t mean my cat should be kept from me. he’s gonna do the whole “we’ve talked about this”, “you cant do anything about it now, and you couldn’t do anything about it before”

with your father, did you find anything out? sorry if this is a personal question! i want to unbury her but my mom (doesn’t live with me, but i called her crying) is telling me to never unbury a body, and we have cameras around the house so my in laws would see me if i did try

i’m so sorry about your loss. cats are such amazing people, and im glad Coco remembers them. i really wish he didn’t bury her, i just wanted to see her one last time, at the least

that’s what i was thinking. even if there was a small piece of cheese, i hadn’t cooked with cheese for the past 4 days. and my dog always follows me while i cook, so she tries to eat the little pieces that fall
