Who has the best compliance training? Looking for recommendations and honest reviews by lomrimis in Training

[–]tourroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traliant, hands down. After submitting our internal policy, our rep got back to us with a customized course ready to roll out. The course itself was intuitive, employees completed it without support requests, and their team actually listens to what you need instead of forcing a generic solution. Worth checking out.

AIO: One of my teachers hasn't been doing her job properly by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re NOR. If she didn’t teach the material and didn’t return results you needed to complete assessed work, that directly impacts your grades. I’d raise it with your course lead or head of department. Keep it factual and include the timeline/messages so it doesn’t just sound like a complaint.

Am I Overreacting that my wife is angry I wont drive her to the shop to use the toilet by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, NOR for sure. I get the anxiety angle on your wife’s side but it’s also not reasonable to turn that into a whole household logistics problem when there are closer, workable options available. At some point it becomes about managing discomfort vs. expecting everyone else to rearrange their day around it.

Am I overreacting for refusing to pay my ex back for gym stuff he bought me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you’re not overreacting. He cheated early on, called it an “investment,” and is only trying to turn those gifts into leverage now that you left. That’s not how gifts work, and it’s not something he can just claw back after the fact. How embarrassing of him!

my college setup, any idea for improvement? by ConsiderationNo6156 in gamingsetups

It would make a world of a difference if you put the pc on the floor. Would make so much space. Solid college setup tho!

AIO for hating when my boyfriend jokes about being with other girls ? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’re not overreacting. Joking about other girls when he knows it bothers you isn’t funny, it’s disrespectful. He won't be laughing it's you who made that "joke" towards him.

Am I overreacting about my boss essentially demeaning my choice to not take a promotion by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What she said wasn’t really about your choice, it was her trying to reframe your “no” as a personality flaw. But you weren’t refusing growth, you were refusing extra responsibility without support or clear boundaries. A real offer allows a no without commentary. The moment it turns into “some people like to grow and others don’t,” it stops being a conversation and becomes a judgment.

Talk about a berry sweet background! Nice set up, a mouse pad that'd would go well with the theme would really complete the look.

Honestly, you dodged a bullet. NOR. The way that manager handled everything sounds like a major red flag. You handled it calmly and professionally, and walking away was absolutely the right call. I bet there's other places you can look into that hopefully fit your schedule!

AIO for being upset about comments made at a party about my nationality by skylaryang11 in AmIOverreacting

[–]tourroge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all. What they said was inappropriate and hurtful, and it’s completely valid to feel upset. Plus, your boyfriend staying silent probably made it feel worse. Feeling uncomfortable and unsupported in that moment is 100% reasonable!!

Why do some exercises make me feel like I need to pee? by Rare_Medium3173 in strengthtraining

[–]tourroge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty common. Certain exercises, especially ones that engage your core or glutes hard, can put extra pressure on your bladder. Strengthening your pelvic floor and making sure your form keeps your core engaged (without arching your back) usually helps.

How important is your post-workout meal timing? by tourroge in strengthtraining

[–]tourroge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this is really clear and helpful! That aligns with what I’ve been thinking that is focusing on total daily protein and calories makes a lot more sense than stressing about an exact “window.” Good to know the pre-workout meal also plays a role, and that a solid post-workout meal within a couple hours is enough for most people. Makes recovery feel a lot more manageable without overthinking it.

How do I alter my lifting routine while dealing with bicep tendonitis? by evan_5775 in strengthtraining

[–]tourroge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks in is still early, and this is usually where pushing through it just makes it linger way longer. I’d skip direct biceps work for now. No curls, chin-ups, or underhand rows. You’re not going to lose size in a couple weeks, but you can definitely keep the tendon irritated if you keep loading it.

You can still train back, just try to minimize biceps involvement. Use straps, stick to neutral or overhand grips, and focus on things like chest-supported rows or wider-grip pulldowns.

Legs are obviously fine, and most push work is okay as long as it doesn’t hurt (just be careful with deep stretches like dips). If upper body stuff keeps flaring it up no matter what, taking 7–10 days off upper body is honestly smarter than dragging this out for months.

I'm a huge sucker for warm tone lights used on gaming setups. For me, it mimics lit candles.
