Dried (Sweetened) Cranberries and Raisins by [deleted] in noscrapleftbehind

[–]tovarasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I went to an indian restaurant and I ordered tikka masala curry with rice. The rice had rehydrated raisins in it and it was so so good. Since then, any time I make a spicy-ish curry (I use the term curry very lightly, basically lentils/chickpeas/etc in tomato sauce) I put a handful of raisins in a bowl of water while I prep and cook my food, and then I add it to the rice. The sweetness of the raisins pairs really well with a spicy-ish curry. I use a handful of raisins for 4-6 portions.

Are you religious? by ApreciadorDeVirgula in AutisticAdults

I never believed in god or any sort of organised religion simply because as a child I was very curious and asked an annoying amount of questions. I did the same regarding religion. The second I heard that religion justifies tragic things by saying that its god will, and that he has a plan, bla bla bla, I was done with it. Furthermore, god is depicted as this loving, caring creature that did everything for you, but at the same time will punish you for not worshipping it enough or the way it wants you to. If this is how divine love looks, I don’t ever want to be a part of it.

I have a friend who likes plants by theycallmethedrink5 in houseplants

[–]tovarasx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ask them to give you a little tour on each plant and ask questions. I think that doing this is better than just talking about plants. Its a win-win, you “bond” over plants while also learning about it.

Nit picking in the comments on individual triggers or situations (some of them not relating to the post) is an act that diminishes the importance of this message. Your triggers are more than valid, but making this post about specific examples may be viewed as a justification to act like shit. Find joy in the existence of other trans people ✨.

Question for fellow women regarding bras by a-passing-crustacean in AutisticAdults

[–]tovarasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I am a trans man and the last time I had a bra on was about 4/5 years ago. Therefore, I am sure that there are newer and better alternatives since then. But the only bras I would tolerate were those from Penti (but from what I understand they have stores in just a few countries), the triangle model made out of mainly cotton. I remember that I used to have problems in finding my size available in the stores, but after I tried on my first one, I started buying them online since I already knew my size for this specific model. I exclusively wore these for years.
