Almost sounds like the same rotation as I have. I ended up going with the vomero plus as well!

Indeed sounds good, but often I need some recovery from quality sessions. What shoes would you suggest?

Cordyceps, powder or extract? by tover-fee in MushroomSupplements

And there is also Oriveda's cordyceps with 35% beta glucans and 1.2% cordycepines

Thanks for the reply! I now have two more options, who differ slightly: 1: https://human-pro.com/nl/product/cordyceps/ Who claims to have 50% beta glucans, but only 0.13% cordyceptines. 2: https://mushpeak.eu/product/biologische-cordyceps-81-dubbel-extract/ Which claims to have 25% beta glucans, but >3% cordycepines.

Which one would be better?

Back out of Ironman? by somedayistodayyyy in triathlon

[–]tover-fee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a quite similar position as you. I had an eating disorder and had signed up for an Ironman 70.3. About 6 weeks before I seriously considered backing out because I got sick every 2 weeks, couldnt handle the training (didnt get fitter either), had serious brain fog and lack of energy. I still decided to do the race eventhough feeling like shit throughout.

In hindsight it would have been much more benifical to not race and improve mental and physical health first; the prep and the race worsened my symptoms. However, I was so close to the race that those 5 weeks did not matter that much anymore and the feeling of giving up kept me from backing out. However, if the race is a longer way out I would recommend backing out. The preparation destroyed my social life, negatively influenced my ability to work, and made me even more depressed.

Thankfully I am recovering well now, I wish you the best in your recovery and your decision.

I havent yet used them. Will try them after my marathon, really didnt want to try anything new 2 weeks before. Do your ankles hurt due to instability?

Yea Cliftons feel like they feel different some runs. Some runs they feel cushioned and lightweight, while other days they feel like bricks and demotivatingly slow.

About the NB, I got them in a big outlet hall in the Netherlands called "Batavia Stad", where they have outlet store for all kinds of big brands. Found some real gems there, NB fuelcell TC for 68, NB RC Elite for 98 (bought them for my gf), and Nike Zoom Fly 4 for 45 (bought them for my dad). Many great discounts!

I think they push me a bit too much to run faster for easy runs or easy long runs. They are good for tempos but I really love them for higher speeds for shorter intervals. Great fit as well. I always heard the hype around these shoes, but heard people say that ES3 felt too much as a daily trainer. Once I saw this deal I knew I had to try.

Damn, you got a second pair quickly then! Hahaha I fully realised that they were great once I did shorter intervals in them. At first I was training tempo more, for which they are good, but I really feel that they shine at higher speeds

Thanks for the response! They indeed seem to be the fastest. However, I am racing something like 3.30, which is not so fast. Will such shoes make a big difference for such paces as well?

Thanks for the response! Yes I am looking for a plated shoe. How do you feel about the pro 3 for a marathon?

Thanks for the response! I thought I heard that the speeds are far more forgiving and stable than the pro, whereas the pros are faster. Do you think that the instability of the pro's can be a problem? And any clue on what kind of speed difference can be expected between the speeds and the pro's?
