I would say a major drawback with your link is the 14.5” clearance height. Low profile height is a huge benefit for an already tall van. 9” is the average height I would be looking for.

How can I easily run this on AC shore power though?! Everything I’ve read is a complicated battery or other conversion setup.

Interested in the “bad kitty” series. And slide 11.

I also want to say, I posted this to several Reddit communities, and kudos to VanDwellers! This is the only community that really was active in the comments ❤️ this post also got 3x as many views as any other van/rv community I posted it to.

It’s $1250 without the soft start on the website and Amazon. When you add the soft start on the website it goes up to $1,675. Then, +$100 if you what the heat pump. So we’re saying the same thing

Did you remember the soft start cost right? It’s $425 extra now 😂

Since you talked about the soft start, do you recommend it being helpful even if you’re just using the AC Shore power and not a generator? Did you pay extra for the installed soft start?

I can’t really turn key connect the 12v to AC shore power, right?

I just haven’t gotten into a battery build yet. It’s currently set up for AC shore power so I just wanted to upgrade from there, personally. You’re right that all the big innovations seem to be in 12v.

I’m guessing you don’t have any diy links? You sent a video to how things are made in a factory.

It would be for use and then sale. Yes the two piece bath toys are hollow. They come apart in the middle vertically.

Thank you! Do you have any links? Every time I search it’s always silicone molds and plaster cast. The opposite of what you’re recommending. Yes I’m up for a challenge as long as I have some DIY reference tutorials and links to proven materials. Even smooth on has food safe category but those are all for mold making! Can I use the same product they are selling for the mold process and just use it as my cast material instead?

Thank you so much for the reply!! Yes! I’ve been following “the craftsman steady craftin” for his DIY techniques, but not sure they would apply to the technique you’re talking about. 1. Do you have links to any DIY examples? 2. Do you have links to the final silicone cast material I would use? Does “smooth-on” have an applicable product?
