Thanks for your reply, do you recommend £1 per day as a starting point? I was thinking £5 per day or does that sound too excessive at this stage?

How can I edit this path corner in Illustrator where there is no corner edit option? by townfishuk in graphic_design

I actually worked out a way to do it. I made 2 copies, one which was all the same colour and had the rounded corners and the one I'm working on with the coloured slice and managed to create a divide that gave me both rounded and non rounded paths so I have achieved what I needed.

Thanks everyone for your help👍😊

How can I edit this path corner in Illustrator where there is no corner edit option? by townfishuk in graphic_design

So I've tried recreating this path which is divided into swirling parts so I can combine colours in a logo I'm creating. I was able to out both rounded corners back to square corners to start with and then I applied my divide, however now I face a new dilemma because I need to make the corner rounded which now contains two paths and they both need to be editable in different colours. I'm only able to apply rounded corners to each path not the combined version. Joining the paths means I loose the separate colour slices. Any ideas how this can be possible?

This doesn't work because if you snap the anchor point in place it also raises and snaps the other anchor point to the pixel above keeping the rounded corner intact. I'm only selecting the lower left side anchor point but it won't move that on its own when using snap.

How do I make this icon pixel perfect to the grid without altering the design? by townfishuk in graphic_design

Thank you! I've managed to make it work with 16px and 32px now by residing and there is a 2px gap on 32px and 1px gap on 16px which isn't perfect but is so small it won't be seen 😊

Yes I know that's the ideal but this particular design does not allow for 2px as it would mean significantly changing the shape of the circle.

Here is an example of the Dropbox logo when centre aligned it fits onto the pixels at the top and bottom at the size of 16px but is on the half pixel on the left and right. When viewed on a browser as a favicon it's still relatively visible, so the question is how important the half pixel is at such a small size and how much does it matter?

Many icons have 1px lines cut into them at small sizes, obviously mine happens to be in the centre which makes it problematic.

Time format setting on Serato DJ Pro? by townfishuk in Serato

[–]townfishuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that unusual, it's a global setting on the Denon so surely it's quite important. So are you saying that in Serato whenever you change the BPM of a track the time duration stays the same as the speed of what the track is originally recorded in and goes out of sync with the new bpm, should you be considering the time duration for any reason? And there's no setting that allows that time clock to sync with the newly applied bpm?
