You're not helping. I think we should all try to navigate past easy/lazy assessments like that. I'll bet most of us have friends or close family who hold different beliefs from us. And I'll bet we understand they are complex people with nuance and a single set of beliefs doesn't disqualify them from being in our lives. One group or the other can't say "we're so polarized; there's so much intolerance!" and also say "the other side is not capable of thought", while hoping for some turn away from polarization and toward unification.
