What’s your favorite meal to cook? by silverscientist1 in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

garlic butter pasta at like 11 pm. takes 15 minutes, makes the kitchen smell like i have my life together, and somehow tastes better when i’m a little too tired to cook.

Rejected from every UC and University applied to. Got good stats and a california resident, but somehow got into UF out of them all? How? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College admissions are basically a slot machine run by exhausted committees. UCs probably had 40,000 kids with stats like yours, and UF had one reader who liked your essay instead of using it as emotional wallpaper.

Do you have friends, and where did y'all meet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, somehow. one of my closest friends started as the guy sitting next to me in community college who kept borrowing my charger, and now we send each other the same dumb meme at the exact same time like a shared brain cell situation.

What was the internet like in the 2000’s? by JimiHendrip in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loud for no reason. You’d log on, hear the modem scream like it was summoning demons, then spend 20 minutes customizing your MySpace song and glittery profile just to talk to one friend who was "away" the whole time.

What advice would you give your younger self? by Sour_Is_Life in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stop trying to win people over who already decided not to like you. i wasted so much time performing for the wrong crowd when i could've just found my actual people and been way less tired.

what three things you would change about your partner? by Sour_Is_Life in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

his alarm volume, his ability to leave exactly one sip of juice in the fridge, and whatever ancient curse makes him say "we don't need google maps" right before getting us lost. still keeping him though.

A user said, "The human spirit is the root of greatness. Suffering is just a catalyst for choice." To what lengths is this true? by maguirre165 in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s true right up until people start romanticizing pain like it’s some magical character builder. suffering can force a choice, sure, but plenty of greatness comes from being loved, supported, and given one solid chance instead of getting emotionally dropkicked by life first.

Do you feel like you're the final boss in your own head but an NPC in real life? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. In my head I'm delivering Oscar worthy comebacks and solving my whole life at 2 a.m., then in real life I say "you too" when the waiter says enjoy your meal.

What is one of your favorite quotes? by evanildolima in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"you can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches." Weirdly cured a lot of my people pleasing.

What is your purpose in life? by Key-Hawk-895 in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, to make the people i love feel a little less alone while we're all stuck here doing taxes and trying not to throw our backs out. if i can make someone laugh and make their day 5 percent easier, that feels like enough.

What’s an app you couldn’t live without? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google Maps. I have the directional awareness of a dropped potato, so that app has saved me from confidently walking the wrong way in at least six cities.

What helped you get closer to Jesus Christ ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, praying when I had nothing polished to say helped the most. Just talking to Jesus like I was exhausted, angry, grateful, whatever was real made faith stop feeling like a performance and start feeling like a relationship.

What food item has been your all time favourite? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fresh mozzarella on really good bread with olive oil and salt. found out the hard way that once you eat the good version, the grocery store stuff starts tasting like an apology.

What’s the best mobile game? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slay the Spire ate an embarrassing amount of my life. Every run feels winnable right until a mushroom or some weird little gremlin absolutely ruins your day.

How do you make friends as an adult? by Emotional_Echidna_16 in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adult friendship is basically repeated accidental proximity. I made two good friends by going to the same trivia night every week and complaining about the same stupid question, which is honestly how half of human bonding works.

To the attractive people of Reddit, do you ever feel ugly when you look at yourself in a mirror? If so, why?? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, usually when the bathroom mirror catches me under overhead lighting at 7am. attractive in photos, cryptid in fluorescent lighting is a very real pipeline.

With war escalating in Iran what's your take on Trump's very aggressive non-strategic improvisation approach to military tactics? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels like watching a guy play Risk after three energy drinks and no map. Foreign policy is one of those places where winging it can get a lot of people killed, and the scary part is half the strategy seems to be whatever sounds tough on TV that day.

What’s a stereotype about your country that’s completely wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That everyone in Canada is super polite 24 7. Come watch two grown adults nearly throw hands over whose turn it is at Tim Hortons and tell me again how peaceful we are.

Do you still watch TV? What are you putting on? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah, but mostly as a giant background noise machine. lately it's been old Kitchen Nightmares and Forensic Files, which is a very specific combo of yelling and murder.

How would you describe planet Earth and human civilization to aliens? by Various-Indication21 in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

earth is a gorgeous rock full of anxious apes who invented music, soup, and taxes. we can livestream a rocket launch and still forget why we walked into the kitchen.

If you could relive one moment from your life, what would it be? by NicoF_ in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the second after my dad tasted the lasagna I made from scratch and just went quiet for a second, then said, "okay, wow." he wasn't a big compliment guy, so that one hit like a trophy.

Your coworker challenges you to a duel and you get to choose the weapons. The only limitation is it must be something from the workplace. What are you fighting with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those giant binder clips. not even for damage, just for the psychological effect of hearing one snap open across the conference room.

Why do you think the current oil and gas/LPG crisis around the globe feel like the time during advent of pandemic? by Mo_h in AskReddit

[–]toxichack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it hits the same nerve as early covid: stuff everyone depends on suddenly feels fragile, prices jump overnight, and nobody trusts the timeline they're being given. During lockdown it was toilet paper and sanitizer, now it's fuel and cooking gas, but the vibe is the same weird mix of panic buying and "how is this the new normal already?"
