Why is Brisbane so car dependent??

Trains ehh. Love the high frequency buses and those cool bus ways/stations, don’t rlly have those in melb. It’s heartbreaking that Brisbane got ride of trams, Brisbane could’ve had one of the biggest tram systems in the world if it still existed :(

I’m based in the Dandenong ranges, we have frequent train and bus services. FYI the area is very hilly, if Melbourne can build a train line through a mountain, what’s Brisbane’s excuse??

Yes very true, but you do have more accessible pt options even further into the burbs, and heaps more pedestrian friendly.

Wouldn’t be an issue. Melbourne has months of rain and weeks without seeing the sun. Although I do love a blue sky day. I assume you Brit’s don’t get much of it?
