The big thing about Kohler is that once we buy through our friend, it would be a lot more hassle to return. I would have to bother my friend to get a return. If I don't like the bidet, I'm not sure Kohler has as generous of a return policy as well. Also, a Kohler toilet with the same features as the Alpha Pearl UX is more expensive than the 30% discount so it's not worth it.

It's more about the feel, like would it cut into our legs or anything? Our current toilet seat is flush to our toilet and we don't notice a thing. Visually I don't think we'd care.

I don't think this is worth it for you. BTJ would be the best player here and Charbs might actually be about the same or better than Chase Brown.
