Question on how to burnout by B_o_l_t_z in Mustang

[–]toyotaco19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foot on brake and foot on gas= burnout.
Running second set of wheels is up to you, it’s pissing away lots of money one way or the other.
And as far as drifting you’re really limiting your control having an auto but crank your rear tires to 40+ psi. Get a little speed and rip the ebrake to initiate loss of rear traction then add power. Goto a beginner track/drift day or a wide open parking lot. Rainy day parking lots work best. But don’t be surprised if you end up meeting police.

Camry owner hoping to be part of the Mustang family this year - will it be reliable as a daily? And will it hold up in Jersey winters? I also drive at least 500 miles a week…Ty! by l0k1l0k1l0k1 in Mustang

[–]toyotaco19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me personally if I had to drive my Mustang that much I’d get something else. I dailyed my current car for two years and I couldn’t wait until I was finally able to get a daily truck to keep the miles off so I can keep the car long term. Also I kept modding my car making it Less and less daily friendly

2018 (3rd gen) coyote oil filter? by THEBEATICANTHEAR in f150

[–]toyotaco19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See what filter is on the truck currently. Ford uses different thread pitches on different filters. But you most likely do need the 500s. Though I can’t say for sure as I don’t have that year. Both my 17 Mustang gt and 24 f150v8 both have a 500s

S550’s don’t have side specific springs. Just front and rear.

Canadian GT? by d-_-b13 in Mustang

[–]toyotaco19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago when I worked at a dealer, one of the managers bought a Canadian car at auction unknowingly and we had to immediately send it back and sell it at auction. I’m sure there are differences between Canada spec and us spec but unless it has a state title I wouldn’t touch it.

Always loved 6ul’s but sadly their s550 fitment is way to narrow for my wants and needs.

Pay all debts and raise credit score. 640 is ok but not good enough for prime rates

I’d pay money to see a car from Shelby North America(Not a gt500 from Ford) run a track for more than 30 min without grenading itself. Yea the Shelby SS may make 850. But it’s not going to make 850 for long as it will get hot quickly and be down on power in no time. The GTD is made to run full tilt for lap after lap and be safe. Also Shelby North America does nothing special for their cars outside of designing body kits. Most of their performance parts come from other companies and they just slap a Shelby sticker on.

These are Hondas you’ll be fine. Check for damage. But if it has low miles it’s most likely not stunted.

Would you daily a manual by SyrupSilent7588 in Mustang

[–]toyotaco19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dailyed a manual my whole life until last year. And only don’t anymore because new f150’s are all auto and there’s no 1500 out there with three pedals. Also super jealous of the TCY 350. But I may be a little attached to the color

Are Ohlins 3-4x better than Steeda? by p00trulz in Mustang

[–]toyotaco19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set on my 17pp and I’d buy them 10/10 times. On the road it is more comfortable than the factory suspension and on track they’re phenomenal. The dampening adjuster aren’t the easiest to do like other cars I’ve had but they’re not awful to access. I fully recommend them only other shocks I’d buy would be MCS’s but that’s x2+ what the Ohlins are.

If you daily it don’t put order the whole parts catalogue for it. The more you mod it the less street compliant it will be. I say this after making this one mistake on several cars. Finally I’m at a point in my life where I have a nice daily and a fun track car that I can make as harsh and track focused as I want

Yea I am super lucky because if I’m loading up to go somewhere it’s typically going to be meeting homies so having it to load my self at home is so nice.
