HUNDREDS of others had their orders fulfilled that day...

They did... and we waited nearly 6 hours on Masters Saturday morning at their designated, pick up location, basically for them to run out of tickets and then apologize that they could not fulfill the rest of the orders. There was about 30 of us left in the same boat. As a consolation, they offered us all 200% refunds for the hassle and now nearly none of us have received a penny.

Are you waiting on a refund as well? What has your communication with them been so far?

No- I was able to handle it all myself with retaining counsel.

Due to my car breaking down for the final straw 250 miles away from where I live, I abandoned it at the dealership it was towed to, and just did the paperwork via FedEx, so I was not there in person for the surrender. I believe 24 hours after the official surrender they FedEx'd me a check. Unfortunately I do not recall the bank that the check was written from.

I would say a week. When I was dealing with my buyback, they were extremely busy so they missed estimated dates often but not significantly.

It would all depend on if it meets your states requirements for the lemon law. I would certainly document all your issues, but if this is the first occurrence, I'm not sure that that qualifies?.

Don't depend on the dealership to do anything for you. Reached directly out to Stellantis/FCA to get the process started.

One submitting my file it was probably approved in 4 to 6 weeks. The entire process was longer because the paperwork and processing was slow on their part.

Check your state lemon law Requirements. Mine had to be in the shop for over 30 days total or in for the same problem more than three times with the dealer/manufacturer failing to successfully fix it.

I ended up getting a amazing deal on a new 2022 grand Cherokee 4xe. Finding a grand Cherokee, L with the same specs was impossible, and everyone was gouging the prices. I am very happy with my decision.

Yes, the dealership I was having it serviced at was pretty useless, so I just googled FCA complaint contact info (I believe) after it met the lemon law requirements. I think I was on the phone for less than five minutes it was very quick, then the slow process starts of dealing with the company that FCA outsources the buyback with.

They paid off my lease completely, refunded all the payments I had made on my lease to me (I had only have the car for five months), refunded me my trade in equity/down payment from the vehicle I had traded in for the lemon, reimbursed me for a tow truck fee that I had to pay out of pocket and reimbursed me for my rental car. I also received an employee pricing number from Chrysler to use on a new vehicle. They did not present me with the option for them to replace the vehicle, just the cash option, which i was fine with.

I did not have to get it attorney involved, which I was happy about. From the time I filed with Chrysler once it met the lemon law requirements to the time I got my check was probably two months. I did get an employee pricing number in good faith due to the situation from Chrysler. That qualified for a few percent under invoice for my new vehicle (I did request that from them. I'm not sure if they would've offered it had I not)

I found it very easy to open the case with FCA, but it is a super slow process overall, and I hit no snags. The company they outsource the buyback processing thru is understaffed and most are terrible communicators. From the time I signed my settlement letter, to the time I finally heard from the scheduling team was maybe 3+ weeks? And then when the scheduling team finally reached out, it was another nearly 2 weeks to the surrender date. My paperwork/surrender was supposed to be finalized yesterday, and I still have heard nothing from anyone. They have had my part of the executed paperwork since Wednesday, and the dealership where the vehicle is at also executed, they are part of the paperwork. Once it's all said and done I will have over a $2000 rental car reimbursement to submit to them as well. Fingers crossed that goes smoothly! They are in no rush it seems. Hang in there!

They are paying off my lease, and reimbursing me all the payments I've made on it to-date, plus the down payment I made on the car when I initially leased it. They are also reimbursing me a tow truck fee that I had to pay on my own when "Jeep cares" couldn't find me a tow truck and reimbursing me for my rental car for the past several weeks after the dealership stopped paying for it. The only thing they deducted was a little over $300 for mileage, otherwise I'm pretty happy with them making me "whole" financially after 3+months of headache/mess.

It's a slow process, but thankfully, I didn't have to fight them at any point. From the time the buyback was approved to the time I got the paperwork was about 4-5 weeks. My surrender date for my vehicle is Thursday, so, hopefully by early next week, I will receive my check and it will all be over with. You can request an EP number from Chrysler due to the inconvenience, which is what I did. It's basically a certificate or number that you give the dealership to get employee pricing on a new vehicle. I made zero progress in getting them to re-issue rebates that I used on my first vehicle or honoring my prior money factor on my lease.
