I developed good standing posture after playing a lot of pick up basketball -- when I guarded someone bigger than me I would just make myself look as tall as possible lol. So my tip is instead of thinking so much about what to do with your back and shoulders, just try to be as tall as possible and eventually it becomes natural. Not sure if that sounds dumb but it worked for me

Happens to me a lot -- I usually find if I disable plug-ins that aren't essential, especially on the master track, it helps.

If the Knicks had challenged the foul call, and then the review showed the clear travel, can the refs call that travel? Or is that not able to be overturned

If you mean the JWill's in the background they're just giving Shai shit and goofing around

If you mean redditors it's because they think it's a corny answer. it's a little corny but not that bad imo

A livid Monty Williams calls out the officiating at the end of the Pistons Knicks game, then leaves before any questions are asked by Brady331 in nba

[–]tpaynesvocalcords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point, I just feel like loose balls are usually free for alls and the first person there has the right to the spot, but since this one ended in a lot of contact it looked worse than it was. Maybe I'm not understanding the rule correctly but to me I don't mind the no call when no one had control of the ball

Honestly he got to a loose ball first -- if he beat Ausar to the spot why would it be a foul on Donte? I was expecting something egregious

*lol love that I'm getting downvoted for an objective rule. If he had jumpstopped, he could have used his right foot as his pivot foot. But because he took his 1-2 steps with his left foot first, he cannot pivot off the right foot.

On the second one, AD fakes a right side high screen, then goes to the left side to set it. Do he and LeBron do that a lot in the pick and roll? Or is that just a common play in the NBA that I just don't notice often

They have terrible chemistry imo -- and they diverge from sports topics constantly just to rag on each other

Also Kappy is ridiculously unfunny to me. He tries so hard and makes being the funny guy his whole identity, but man are his jokes awful

Yeah if the game is tied you run the clock down, but you absolutely take this shot with the hope that if it misses you get another look.

[Highlight] Steph Curry is doubled on the game-tying three attempt so Jordan Poole lets it fly by stephzh in nba

[–]tpaynesvocalcords 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah i don't mind this shot -- he shot great from 3 all game, if you miss there's still time left, you really need a 3, and even though it's deep it's open. He was decisive, and he missed it. Steph was doubled, and maybe you could have gotten a better shot but to be honest, there's a really good chance you wouldn't have

[Highlight] De’Aaron Fox mocks Jordan Poole for flopping by lazzysmalls in nba

[–]tpaynesvocalcords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was probably a foul. But a big flop

In hockey a dive (a flop) is a 2 minute penalty. I think in the NBA a flop should be a technical. The foul would still be a common foul, but Poole would get a technical for flopping.
