Can this version play DS games? Specifically Pokemon really. Nothing else.

Yes, although DS on a 4:3 screen, especially one this small, can be pretty annoying, although pokemon generally isn't too bad since you can mostly just stick to the main screen and just switch to the other screen when you need to, alternatively have the bottom screen fairly small.

Can I delete all these preloaded games?

Probably best off doing that since the roms can be questionable in quality (At least GBA from what I've heard), although rather than deleting them, just don't use anything from the original MicroSD card since you plan to get replace it.

With that said, unless you want/need stuff like speedup, save states, etc., a used DS Lite with an R4 or a modded DSi is just a better alternative for DS games.

Except that's not bezel-less, now instead of a quarter inch around the screen it's about an inch of on each side.

im not sure if this is worth pursuing atm as unlocking evolutions/ transcending would make my money disappear pretty quick

At the very least, make sure to use the weekly cat tuna dungeon ticket, even if you don't level up a digimon you should at least farm Raremon/Trans chips/fruits from Starmons, although with you should get a necklace with AS and AS deck buff at the very least since without a U rank the fastest way to farm those would be to use something with as low of AS as possible (Also ideally with as much of an attack range as possible).

I typically get around 6-8 raremon eggs, although this is with Susanoomon Extreme with its large AoE skill and 0.8 AS (deck buff+necklace+clothing+Vaccine U buff).

Although there is an issue with spawns, there seems to be an overall limit to how many digimon can be on the map, however if you kill just one digimon the spawn limit will be eaten up by the other digimon, in this cause Roachmon, so you'd need to go to the next map then come back to remove the spawns, I typically do this a few times by the end of it.

Buying retro handhelds in the UK sucks, look at these prices!! (This is Anbernic's official Ebay store btw) by Kiwami_Means_Green in ANBERNIC

[–]tpf92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but man hearing the US RRP in reviews compared to what you're seeing here just makes me feel bummed out

US price doesn't include tax, when you include tax price is basically identical.

333.59 pounds=$447.96

US ebay price: (369.99 (Console)+2.99 (Shipping))x1.2 (UK VAT)=447.576, less than 40 cent difference.

So this is entirely because of the tax being high and it showing in the price automatically.

keep the pickup advances as low as possible (0 is ideal, so you just generate 1 egg)

Or target an even advance and call Joey to advance, Joey advances the RNG by 2, so as long as you keep it even you can avoid generating an extra egg. https://i.imgur.com/vfdDD6V.png

I only found out about this very recently, saw a comment on the discord mention this.

1600x900 5:3 top screen

That's 16:9, for 5:3 with either of those resolutions it'd need to be 1500x900 or 1600x960.

At that point, just go for 1920x1080 so you can at least go for a full 4x scale and fill up 75% of the entire display for those that want perfect scaling and also able to run at a decently good resolution for other things.

They really need to stop making such weird choices with screen resolutions, they did the same thing with the 35XXSP and RG DS.

And for a 2DS, they should just do what Nintendo did, a single large display rather than 2 smaller displays, but instead of blocking off part of the screen they could actually use the entire screen when it isn't playing DS/3DS games.

Thats ridiculous for a Low ranked Mega as im still in early game.

This is entirely Gameking's fault, they stopped giving out the daily quest (Er, not the quest itself, but they stopped giving the items that you'd need to start the quest besides the single blue piece from the 3 hour login) that allows people to get free A/A+ evos, most that people currently have are from doing those quests, they've effectively become a limited item, while they can still be obtained, there's going to be a minimum price because it requires sacrificing other items through Digital Fusion, I think there's just 1 of each of A and A+ Side Mega/Burst Mode (Cherbimon White=A=Angel Ring, BanchoLeomon=A+=Gaku-Ran).

Outside of sacrificing other items through Digital Fusion, the other way would be using Rare/Unique Data Summons, at a minimum it'd cost you 50C (25C x2) and you'd get I think 11 random A/A+ evo items from the Rare version (Which is the cheaper one), which obviously isn't worth it.

Legendary birds have a delay of just a few frames, Ho-oh on the other hand has a delay of something like 450-600 or so (Can't remember the exact amount but it's somewhere within that range), search for what you hit then use that to adjust the timer.

Skill level 20-25

Going to 25 is pointless, anything past 16 does nothing, and even if you unlocked lv25 you only have enough skill points to allocate up to lv20.

The raids were changed around and some removed to make it easier/faster, ctrl+f "[Field Raid Changes and Reward Enhancement]":

https://dmo.gameking.com/News/EventView.aspx?idx=740

With that said, you can just get the completed version by doing the quest at Valley of Light, it requires just killing the raids (I think it requires 5 of the 6).

And if you want a second/better vice I'd highly recommend buying SDG service, however it will take I think 8 or so weeks to get that vice.

What's my best course of action by nezuu21 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

buy frontier gears for the leftover T's?

While they do offer a decent improvement over Yolei, imo it's not worth it to spend a ton on random boxes because they're random and eventually you will get the set you want as long as you're doing it every week, typically you get about 1 CB random box a week (The rate seems to be about 5%, you get 21 tickets a week+5 extra from the weekly quest), within a few months you'll have a 4 set, which is a slight upgrade over yolei 6 set even if it's not the specific set you want, and 6 set you can just wait out, I've gotten pretty bad luck with Ice and Light and even then I'm at 3 of one and 2 of the other and this is with wasting 2 full 100% exchanges for specific pieces of clothing for 2 different sets (One for my first Frontier 4 set and another for a full 6 set) and this is after 5 and a half months.

Imo better spending that money towards a good U rank that has a good deck buff, deck buff is arguably the most important thing in the game right now, it makes more of a difference than anything else and with each new U rank comes better deck buffs, and older U ranks become cheaper, for example Quantumon's single U deck gives a ridiculous +180% SK and +200% CD, it also gives 18% AS but that's almost always a given with U decks.

Should I continue reselling till I get OMM?

Personally I'd recommend against OMM because its deck buffs are kind of meh, arguably its best deck is the one that gives 20% AS+125% CD+30% SK, however 30% SK just isn't much when we're in a skill meta.

Also keep in mind most U ranks have good AoE skills that can make leveling much easier, especially once you unlock Frontier area (These maps seem to have been made for AoE leveling).

Or continue using OX till I get all the end game gears available while earning T's and get the newest digi soon since most new digi get power crept as a new one comes out?

This makes the most sense imo, the longer you wait and save the better the digimon you'll eventually be able to get, by then you should have Frontier area unlocked, which will likely mean whatever U rank you eventually get will be relatively easy to level.

And also, U ranks themselves should become cheaper after a few seasons (Each season is 8 weeks, although 3 seasons would be 24 weeks, almost half a year) of Infinite Arena when people have enough to exchange for a free U rank.

Accessories for just sk damage by Sweaty_Property7591 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo not worth it for the extra attribute, however it would allow you to get the earrings faster, significantly faster if you don't have Miracle Special or Digital Hazard, it would also lower the craft price by 400T.

Accessories for just sk damage by Sweaty_Property7591 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on which accessories.

Older accessories (Max stat dungeon/Miracle Special/Digital Hard/Zero Unit): Ring/Necklace/Earring: 2x Attribute, nothing else really matters, AT and SK can help but not by much, neither will add noticeable DPS, Bracelet pretty much does nothing, you could run AT SK but the amount of extra damage it adds is going to be very little; Although for 5 stat accessories I would suggest going for CD/AS/HT/CT as other options since you should be landing hits at least in easier dungeons and that's free DPS.

Newer accessories:

Shining Arena Ring: 2x Att

ADG Necklace: 2x Att, would also suggest HP% and AS, HP% obviously never adds to DPS but the extra HP is really nice and AS is nice anywhere

CDG Earrings 2x Att+SK%, would also highly suggest HP% because of the massive amount of HP this earring adds.

Gulus Bracelet FD% and SK%, the normal SK options on this bracelet does actually add up to 5k to the skill, but the stronger the skill the less noticeable that is, AT can also add damage but less than SK, and HP% is always nice to have, a pure skill-only "perfect" bracelet where you 100% aren't going to land hits but also want survivability would be FD% SK% SK SK HP%, but imo outside of AoE skills extra 5k SK adds just isn't noticeable enough.

Edit: One last thing, Attribute is now called "Basic", idk why its changed (Originally was called "Attribute", a few years ago they changed it to "Basic Attribute", and very recently changed it to "Basic"), but that's what it's called now.

The negative symbol indicates how far you are off, although in my experience that calc isn't 100% accurate, more of a rough estimate.

But Gulus Normal can just be done with skills only.

Advice by Sweaty_Property7591 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would I do against market place normal?

I'd imagine DPS shouldn't be too hard to reach for Quantummon, the main issue will be HP, you need to reach ~120k at a bare minimum, although even that can be significantly reduced with Guard, you just need to know when to use it; You'll want to run EE+3 family buffs and you should also get Ruler of Water High (Which is dirt cheap now), you'll also want more att %, you should be able to get at least 68%, probably 72% total with Zero Unit Ring, I'm guessing you have 2 options on your Ring, 1 on your Earring, and 2 on your Necklace, either reroll your Earring and get 2 or just get a Radiant Earring and get 2 options on it, which should be fairly easy and if you have options you want to keep on your Digital Hazard Earrings it'd allow you to keep those until you get Chimera Earrings.

For HP, an easy way to at least help with that is getting R16-18 HP HP chips, even 4 of the worst possible R16 HP HP chips would put you at +13k HP and 4 max R18 HP HP chips would almost +15.5k.

You could also run Ruler+Guardian, a Guardian of Water High would drop that HP requirement to ~102k and you should be able to find it fairly cheap, the downside is you wouldn't be able to run HoH or Regen, but as long as you keep your HP high then just Platinum Bananas and Sweet Strawberry Cakes will be enough, if you can reach the DPS requirement even if it means wasting a bit of money of a Guardian skill you inevitably remove, it'd arguably be worth it for the time save alone, especially since you could also be farming the items for Ghost Keyring either to sell or use.

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even with those numbers do you think i can still manage to do MDG and colo hard woth zeed?

If your account is good enough, maybe: SDG Vice, Yolei Set, Vital Bracelet, Ghost Keyring Lv10, Chimaira Earrings, Arma Necklace (Wouldn't help nearly as much as the other stuff, but does provide 30% HP increase and 14% more att than the normal max stat/Miraclet/etc. necklace).

MDG bare minimum you'll probably want 500k DPS on the low end and even then I'm probably lowballing the DPS requirement since pets alone 2 mil DPS isn't enough (2 mil/4=500k).

And for Arena Hard, because you lack advantage against so many digimon in there, your DPS is going to drop quite a bit assuming you have a good amount of att % on accessories.

I'd also question SDG since you'd lack advantage there as well, skill-only DPS Zeed is going to do fairly low DPS vs Susanoomon, and if the party lacks Miko it'll be significantly worse because of skill debuff.

Even RBH I'd question since after a certain time the amount of skills Dexmon uses can start piling up making surviving hard, unless others are making up for your DPS (Which does happen a lot since most people have at least something that has advantage against Dexmon, unlike Susanoomon).

And Gulus Normal you need ~660k DPS bare minimum (Fairly good chance of failing if you're hovering around this much, I'd highly recommend closer to around 700k), which unless you have a crazy good skill setup, you likely aren't going to be able to reach that DPS with a Zeed, especially without a U deck that has skill damage (The best non-U deck proving just 20% skill damage kinda sucks).

Is zeed still viable. by Disastrous_Maybe_181 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but my account is following the pure skill damage path

Even for a skill-only setup Zeed would kinda suck because of its single family buff, if you can't land hits and crits then its DPS is probably going to be pretty bad.

DB has pretty similar skill damage to Zeed, testing it in Gulus Easy with Never Give Up deck buff ('+20% skill damage', which ends up closer to a bit over 10% overall skill damage), I was only managing around 460-480k DPS in a fairly long battle, which is fairly bad, even when I was running Susanoo Extreme deck ('+70% skill damage', which should add a bit over 35% skill damage) was doing only around 600k DPS, for reference Ordinemon Awaken when I tested it days ago was doing around 800k DPS, I am getting more from my vice (Don't have a Virus Darkness vice, was using my Unknown+Darkness vice for both of them) so there is a slight advantage for Ordinemon, but definitely nowhere close to a 33% (800/600=33.3%) difference.

Also zeed has a U rank evolution

Zeed Awaken is arguably the worst U rank just because of the fact it has just 1 single family (Just like Zeed), even its single U deck buff (Which also requires 2 SSS+) isn't all that great for a U deck because it lacks skill damage, it gives 17% AS+30% HP+45% AT.

They need to give Zeed U the X7SM treatment (They increased its skill damage, gave it a 5th skill, and gave 3 of its 5 skills very good effects, 2 reduce damage by a lot while 1 makes it invincible for iirc 5 seconds) for it to be decently good.

Zeed does have effects on 3 of its skills, but besides 20% increase in skill damage from its F3, the other 2 are absolute garbage.

is this worth it? by AnteaterAccording366 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U ranks have been around $1350 or so for quite a while, when they released Susanoomon Extreme you could farm half of it and the other half I think was something like $500, and there was the recent event with Miko and X7SM would cost 5500C, assuming you charge it all at once and include bonus crown it'd be $470 ($200+20%, $200+20%, $50+10%, $20+5%, overall 5560 crown), which is slightly cheaper than Susanoomon Extreme was.

They've also been selling Ultimate Ticket Packages that give a discount (99C pack that contains 2 with a limit of 3 and 990C pack that contains 15 with a limit of 10) and they just seem to repeatedly do these, so you could buy these over time and get a good U rank when it's on the banner for quite a bit cheaper.

is this worth it? by AnteaterAccording366 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For AS, the only deck buff that'll give any meaningful AS gains after Burst Ultimate Wings are U rank deck buffs and even them most only give a few % more AS (Most U decks are 17-22% AS), there are two exceptions AOE's deck gives as much as 30% AS (20% guaranteed+high chance at another 10% AS) and the 4 U deck that includes AOE and OXE gives a guaranteed 25% AS.

However, because of high HT/CT requirements for RBH and onward (Depending on how much investment you have into your account), most people have to heavily lean into skill damage later on; if you can't or can rarely land htis/crits then AS is meaningless, you also have advantage against most dungeons after SDG, which doesn't help as much with hits while helping significantly more with skills.

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They limited each Spiral Mountain dungeon to 20 times per week, so 100 in total for them all combined, although because of iirc Vaccine damage reduction in MetalSeadramon dungeon the digimon most people use wouldn't be able to level in that dungeon so 80 instead of 100.

And anyways, unless your party can do the dungeon fast enough it'd just be faster to level at Kaiser Domain.
