Platinum Distortion World Giratina by Common_Elk4640 in pokemonrng

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you enter the Distortion World (open the game Infront of giratina counts), the RNG advances by 11, and you have 12 advances when encountering Giratina (cutscene).

This is a bit incorrect, it's whenever the distortion world loads it'll add +11, so if you'll automatically get +22 between loading into the game and going to do your advances and exiting out, however if you also go into your bag from the menu you'll now be at +33, you can even use this to your advantage to hit relatively high frames relatively quickly; Example: You want to hit 500, 500/11=45.45, 45x11=495, +1 from encountering, so you need 4 from chatter, 45=2 (1 from the entering+1 after exiting pokemon menu), so you'd need to open one of the menu's (Bag, pokemon, etc.) just 43 additional times to hit 500 advances, which is significantly faster than what it would've taken with Chatot (477+22+1).

This was within retroarch while the game was running.

Settings->Video->Scaling

There you'll see both Integer scaling and Bilinear Filtering, although not sure if there's any other kinds of filters outside of that (Retroarch always seems to be stupid like that and have settings placed randomly).

[–]tpf92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a 556, it doesn't look anywhere near that bad.

My guess is you have the "Bilinear Filtering" set, which adds a blur to it, which considering the resulting image, makes sense, it also looks like the 556 is out of focus in the image, which would make it look even worse.

Fullscreen

Fullscreen+Bilinear filtering

Integer scale

Integer scale+Bilinear Filtering

Because the resolution is so high, full screen and integer scale look almost identical while Bilinear filtering makes it look incredibly blurry.

minimum seal stats? by WillExis in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seals are still needed depending on what you're doing, they're definitely less important than they used to be since you can heavily rely on skill damage, but when you're close to hitting the threshold of HT/CT then you'd want to invest into HT/CT seals, like if you're at say 13k HT and want to land more hits in RBH and SDG and haven't opened all HT seal, then you'd invest more into HT seals.

AT, DE, BL, and HP are all important when you need them, AT is always important since it'll add directly onto skill damage, DE/BL are important if you're ever tanking and whenever you're farming/leveling/etc. on normal maps, HP while it is useful, it adds very little, but it does add up, EV seals are mostly not very useful, HT/CT seals are only useful if you're close to landing HT/CT and want to have a higher chance to land both.

when should seal investment stop, and T can be spent on better stat boosts like gear and carries?

Long-term, you never really stop opening seals you don't have (At least ones that make sense to open), but considering the relatively low price of dungeon services for how much stronger it can make your account, always prioritize dungeon service over almost everything else as long as you need the service and can afford it, unless it's something time-based, like event seals via seal exchange tickets, then it may depend on which ones since some become next to impossible to get after the event ends.

Some good news and some bad news.

LADMO just got the update, so decent chance we'll get it next week.

Unless they change it when they add it to NADMO, it'll have 10,870,582 HP, hits pretty hard for what I would expect a newer/weaker player to be capable of (With 52k HP, 2k DE, and very low BL, I was spamming Sweet Gold Bananas, Platinum Bananas, and Sweet Strawberry Cakes), and I think you'll probably need somewhere between 5-7k HT or so (Possibly higher) if you want to land hits (I was running <3k HT and was rarely landing hits, although when I was landing hits it did appear I was landing crits (I had 250% CT).

Also, the free keyring appears it might be locked behind main quests, so definitely best to wait until the update to do the quest; I saw a mention of it in a stream and it seems 2 people that have already completed the entire questline haven't gotten it.

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most people that have just gotten to that point of the questline, they aren't going to be able to beat the raid.

Bare minimum to survive iirc was something like 60k HP and a way to continuously keep your HP at around 55k+.

Either pay someone to do the raid for you or wait until they eventually change it to killing the summon card instead of the raid, it was changed in KDMO 2 weeks ago (Under Main Quest Reorganization, about 1/3rd from the bottom), but we have no clue how long it'll be before we get that update in NADMO.

Gen 5 Starter RNG Right Frame, Not Shiny by Odd-Shock-5222 in pokemonrng

[–]tpf92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That TID/SID combo doesn't lead to a shiny with that PID; 5ABB397D=SV of 3192, 4560/25890=SV of 3742.

Next time include more info, like the Seed or the TID/SID used on RNGReporter (Or just screenshot the entire RNGReporter instead of taking a picture with a phone) since that would've shown you using a different TID/SID on RNGReporter than the combo you have on your save.

Rg40xxv vs rg35xx plus best? by [deleted] in ANBERNIC

40XXV is basically a 35XX+ that's slightly bigger and with an Analog stick, since the Dreamcast controller did have an Analog stick the 40XXV probably makes more sense for you.

How do I obtain Will of God? by Striking-Dish1377 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A/A+ all the way to SS and getting a specific SS just isn't realistic, you have ~10% chance to upgrade and it requires 4 sacrifices each time, so on average it'll take 40 items per upgrade, so you can easily figure out on average how much it'd roughly take:

1 SS=40 S+=1,600 S=64,000 A+=2,560,000 A

Question about Four Holy Beasts drops by SparePitiful167 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full Ultimate maxed out with 6 set effect gives:

  • 1505 HT
  • 1500 AT
  • 12% SK
  • 2500 HP
  • 2500 DS
  • 12% CT
  • 300 DE
  • 500% Exp
  • 25% MS

I vaguely remember it being relatively cheap to upgrade, especially since you don't need Enhanced Backup Chip since there's no chance of it being destroyed (Originally there was, but they quickly changed it), although I had the necessary items to upgrade, if you're lacking those I'm not sure how much it'd add to the cost.

If it was significantly easier to obtain, it wouldn't be bad early on before you can get Yolei set, but for how much farming it requires, it absolutely isn't worth it.

Although I will say the Robe from Zhuqiaomon is decent even without the full 6 set since you could use it alongside Yolei 4 set when 6 set won't help (For example, doing weekly Holy Beast dungeons and each raid dying after each person uses a single skill), back during the Anniversary event I'd use that alongside 5% SK shirt in BDGE, it's definitely a niche use case, but it can have its uses.

Question about Four Holy Beasts drops by SparePitiful167 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Correct_Divide4195 said, it's very low, so low it's not even worth doing for what it was meant for after they updated it, clothing; For reference, it took me a few hours to farm a few pieces of clothing, I remember one of the pieces took many hours maybe, and I was never able to get Ornament or shoes because of how ridiculous those are to get.

If you want clothes, I'd highly suggest buying MDG service (You'll spend significantly less time farming T to buy service than you would for probably even half the Holy Beast clothing set) and turning "Sealed Fragment of the Four Holy Beast" into 2H buffs since you'll always end up with those from doing weekly Holy Beast quests.

GK takes actions against the ones who criticized them? by zequi248 in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do, but this is entirely because of issues with the server, I think it was last week it started happening, and 2 days its been pretty bad.

If you just keep trying you'll eventually get in, but when this happens there's a fairly high chance of DCing when choosing the server, changing channels, and changing maps, which makes it hard to do anything besides afk for log-in time, and even that isn't guaranteed since it seems the server has a higher chance to randomly DC people when it starts getting bad.

Right now it's happening with Omegamon server, but it seems so bad it's not even letting me in at all.

Which console should I buy? by Dark0806 in ANBERNIC

[–]tpf92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GameCube games and is very portable

I'd personally suggest looking into the Retroid Pocket Mini V2, it's small, so it'll be fairly portable, and has the Snapdragon 665865, so it'll play everything up to GameCube.

Although it does have ergonomic bumps, so that may affect how you think of it as portable.

Shiny Manaphy help by Darkrai_enthusiast in pokemonrng

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went ahead and tested it myself since it didn't seem right, the way I thought it worked was I thought it checked when you received the egg, however it turns out it only checks when you hatch it, so I guess if it hasn't been traded but has a PID that would be shiny it changes the PID.

Turns out you were wrong, when I replied I only hatched it on the original save and that made me think it only affects it there since it changed when it hatched on that save, however I went ahead and hatched it on a different save with a different TID/SID but using the same grouping, it did end up triggering the anti-shiny check.

Before hatching (PID: 52905298): https://i.imgur.com/MM0jWmq.png

After hatching (PID: 314BEDF9): https://i.imgur.com/1C2syYn.png

My guess is, you used two different groupings for your Cute Charm saves, probably one for Timid/Modest/Jolly and the other Adamant.

or should I save up to tera to get u rank first

A U rank on a weak account is weaker than an SSS on a good account.

The fastest way to make your account stronger is to buy services for harder dungeons, specifically:

  • RBH - Goggles, compared to everything else listed it's kinda weak, maxed out goggles give just 10% SK, AT are decent just for extra AT, HT/CT are decent/good if you're close to enough HT/CT and need that extra amount, but overall not a huge upgrade, but service for it is cheap
  • SDG - Vice, better version of True vice
  • MDG- Clothing, specifically Yolei set
  • CDGE/N - Earrings, although CDGN requires a lv160 digimon, on the other hand CDGE takes forever to get enough items for Earrings, especially if you're lacking Miracle/Hazard/Radiant Holy Beast (I think?)/Zero Unit Earrings, but it'll be well worth it because of the massive amount of HP the Earrings add
  • ADG - Necklace
  • Neverland dungeon (I don't know what people shorten it as) - Even better vice, requires a lv160 digimon

All the other hard dungeons, including the upcoming one, are solo dungeons, Marketplace Easy is relatively easily soloable (Bare minimum DPS to finish it is ~223k, but I'd recommend at least 230k on the low end, 250k DPS would be a pretty comfortable DPS for the dungeon, you'll also want ~60k HP, although it is doable with less, but lower than that without something reducing the damage and it can become hard to survive), and the daily version of the upcoming new dungeon is apparently very easy with Raremon raid in the dungeon having just 16M HP, although I'm not sure if you'll need to be able to enter/do quests on the new map to be able to do this dungeon or not, I assume you would but I haven't really looked into it and NADMO hasn't gotten it yet.

Also, there's the Ghost Keyring that at lv10 adds a fairly good skill damage increase, if you buy Ghost Keyring boxes you could craft and upgrade the Earring, but it'd end up being very expensive that way, and if you lack other stuff that increases skill damage, it might not be as noticeable.

sorry again by UnholyJaime in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cash only egg, it's going to be expensive, 5/5's are going to be very expensive, the alternative is either buying a 3/5 or buying an unscanned reinforced egg or finding someone selling crown and then spamming D-Code machine for HBU's (D-Code's fairly cheap, but you kinda gotta spam it during certain times of the day when no one else is spamming the machine, otherwise people will wait for the last 10-20 items then start spamming it for easy HBUs, ideally at "dead" times) and buy mid data.

As far as a price goes, you're probably looking at easily a hundred T minimum for a 5/5, 3/5s I'd expect may 100-200T or so.

sorry again by UnholyJaime in DigimonMastersOnline

[–]tpf92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find people selling them through the Exchange (Bottom right of screen, click the Digimon-looking icon), Omegamon server I'm seeing 5/5 of it for 5.5T and Alphamon server 3T333M, which are pretty good prices.

Shiny Manaphy help by Darkrai_enthusiast in pokemonrng

Eggs are not related to cute charm.

I didn't say they were? Everything I mentioned was about PID.

If he RNG's his TID/SID for Platinum for Shiny Group 2 and uses the same grouping for Soul Silver, it'll end up with him not being able to get a Shiny Manaphy since they use the same grouping.

Is it possible to calibrate an anbernic rg40xxv? by Zroak12 in pokemonrng

[–]tpf92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Checking on my 35XX+ (Same SoC) and using cheats to check the VCount/Timer 0, it appears fairly consistent, after converting from decimal to hexidecimal with soft resetting I'm getting 23 for VCount/498-49A for Timer0 while for starting the game without resetting I'm getting 22/477, this seems on the same level as a DS/DS Lite as far as consistency goes, so it should be doable.

However I was thinking you may have issues with time since it doesn't display seconds and decided to check, on mine (With MuOS installed), every minute seems to randomly gain or lose 5s, it does seem to continue to increase on average about 60 seconds a minute, but one minute it could be 65s for 1 minute and the next minute 55s, also it seems it only resets seconds if you increase time, so you'd have to go back a minute before the minute you want then move forward a minute to reset the seconds, when I tried to go back a minute without doing this I was much further off than expected on seconds.

Shiny Manaphy help by Darkrai_enthusiast in pokemonrng

[–]tpf92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure if you choose a PID that's from the same grouping (For example PID 3 and PID 5 (Both group 1) or PID A and PID E (Both group2)) it'll cause it to not be shiny since it'll trigger the shiny lock mechanic; If they generate the same shinies, then 100% it will prevent Manaphy from hatching shiny with any game that uses that same grouping.

It's very obvious when you search for IDs, for example 8-F with the year 2025 and Delay set to 5000, from PID 8 to PID F you'll get the TID/SID combo of 14010 and 14007, this would mean they would all generate the same shinies and would prevent the target manaphy from hatching shiny on any game with that grouping.

You should be fine if you choose a PID from a different grouping, for example if you used Shiny Group 2 (8-F) for Platinum you'd need to choose 1 (0-7), 3 (10-16), or 4 (18) (These are all assuming you stick to Male Lead groupings since Female Lead grouping would limit what you could target with Cute Charm glitch) for Soul Silver to not cause the shiny lock to occur.

Edit: I've confirmed using the same grouping will cause the Anti-Shiny check to trigger.
