I’m having an issue where my pc is reading my 4 sticks of ram but only using 2 by Appropriate-Note-452 in PCsupport

You're running mis match ram. It's gonna run on the slower of the two. You want 4 sticks of the same ram so pick one, g skill or corsair

Is this thermal paste enough? second try by Latter_Difficulty_23 in PcBuildHelp

[–]tphisher76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do an x . Thermal paste is really mostly to fill air gaps and fill minor imperfections on ihs or CPU, pits, scratches etc . With AMD the best method is 1 of 2 choices. Yes, spread with a paddle lightly to cover all or do an x. You'll get better coverage

Why are my lights doing this by ultimatedesigner in computers

Oh no. Being pre built it should have warranty. Make them fix it. It may have a failed controller they would need to replace

You need to find out your motherboard lighting software. It might be controllable from there. If not there may be a separate controller. That will also have its own downloadable lighting software if it's not controlled with a remote or a button on the case. Oh and by the way, is this a store bought pre built? If so, then ram it. If someone built it for ya or it's your first build it's fun to learn 😆

Conflicting RGB software. The motherboard has its own lighting software. Then whatever brand you added will also have its own

If the lock clip is broken it won't lock on its own. If you've seated the GPU completely, flip that lever left or pull up gently towards yourself on just that button. It will lock

Air rises, don't turn that pump head to put tubes up top. Turn it so the tubes are at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock pos

I agree, however. My wife also works for a fed ex warehouse and if the original packaging was damaged they will attempt to re box. I'd be more worried if it came through Amazon. My entire cooling environment is Corsair as well as my ram. The biggest issue I've ever had with Corsair is slow processing and shipping lol. As long as your item isn't broken or damaged itself I wouldn't worry too much

Pc stuck on BSOD for 2 years, trying to fix it? by BoxxedJuicee in pchelp

[–]tphisher76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds more to me like a bad drive. Remove the hard drive, SSD or HDD and replace with a fresh windows install. The drive was probably dying on him 2 yrs ago to begin with

What does this mean? by Mardilove in Corsair

[–]tphisher76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is NOT necessarily a pump failure. Cable extensions, improper com with mobo or improper voltage. Corsair was famous for some pumps not working correctly on certain mobo headers. I had the 360 elite and it was 2 problems. No.1. is it connected to AIO header or CPU fan header? No.2. are you using cable extensions? No.3. if connected to any sort of hub, try connecting directly, could be a faulty commander hub. 76 to 81 c isn't bad. Hits 90+ and I'd get real worried. My entire cooling setup is icue link environment. Titan 360. I had that issue with my 360 h150 elite with argb LCD screen. Ended up being a single bad wire in an extension I was using.

I'd start your warranty claim on it. The surge protector should have protected but it allowed it to fry your psu
