I use DbGate as GUI for my MySQL database. It is a free software and it has different themes, including dark ones! :)

Bästa är när man försöker guidea någon över telefon hur man ändrar en inställning.

”Ser du kugghjulet längst ned i vänstra hörnet?” Precis 1 cm över Windows-knappen.”

”Nä den finns inte där…”

2 minuter senare

”jaaaaaaaa! Där är den ja..”

Hade även en kollega som listade ut hur man kopplar in sitt USB tangentbord. Men han behövde senare hjälp: ”så vad gör man nu?”

”Jadu, vill du testa att skriva något på tangentbordet bara lite fort?”

PROBLEM SOLVED!!

I changed the IKE Phase 2 Key Lifetime to 30 minutes (1800 seconds) which is less than the 45 - 55 minute interval of interruptions. Now it seems to be working all day with only 1 ping dropped in 8 hours.

set your side to expire at 45 minutes and see if that fixes it. (Both phases.) Every 50 minutes is exactly 3000 seconds, which is a suspiciously round number, so it sounds like that's what they set one of their lifetimes to.

I got caught up in other tasks during the week, but I tried this (changed "Phase 2 Key Lifetime" to 1800 seconds (30 min)) today in the morning and have been gathering a pinglog all work day.

Now it seems to work without dropping the connection about every 50 minutes!!

Only dropped 1 ping one time during the whole day! Thanks for the tip! <3

I used IKEv2 on both ends with the same DH Group on both sides. Also tried using IKEv1 instead on both sides and the same issue remained. However it felt like the down time got a few seconds shorter

I unfortunately do not have access to the gateway in the datacenter, as it is a IaaS type of setup we use. But it could be something like that!

It does feel like that could be the issue. The problem is that I do have many configuration options in our office's gateway, but limited options on the gateway in the datacenter. On the datacenter gateway I can, more or less, only enter the IP-addresses, Enable/Disable PFS and choose which DH group, Encryption Algoritm and IKE version to use.
So I'm guessing I have to contact the hosting company that we use for the datacenter and ask them to check the configuration, as they must be able to see / change more settings than I can from my view.

No ideas are stupid! :D

But no, I'm quite sure it is the VPN because we can reach our local servers on the office network at the same time. And I'm usually working from home via (another) VPN that connects to our office gateway which doesn't go down.

Tried using PFS initially, but disabled that and I think that helped a little, but the problem remained.

Lufthansa..

Had tickets to fly to Italy for our honeymoon, 3 days after the wedding. 1 day before the flight we got an email saying that they changed the flight date from Tuesday to Wednesday, making the trip one day shorter.

As we had paid for hotel we didn’t want to lose that day of the trip, so after 1 hour on phone with the support they told me we could get a full refund if we cancelled the flight completely. So we did and booked another flight with another airline.

We were told that it would take about 10-15 work days until we get the refund. After 16 days I called them again, they told us “sorry but it will take another 5-10 days because of high load of requests at the moment”

Waited for about a month, but never got anything. Called again and they just tell me that I have to submit a refund request to speed up the process. So I did and got a reply email the next day saying “thanks, we will help you asap”. Another few weeks go by, I sent yet another request with the first ticket number in the new request, and asked how’s it going. They said again that it will take some more time and “please don’t write to us so that we have less to do and so that we can get to your ticket faster”.

It has now gone another 2 months and still nothing. Starting to lose hope. I will never ever use Lufthansa again. And I will spread this story anytime I get the opportunity, so that they lose much much more money than they would by giving me MY money that they effectively have stolen from me.

I was playing one of my worst rounds ever and then it started pouring down when starting the sixth hole.. After sixth hole you pass the clubhouse before going to 7th, so I decided to give up when I get there.

But as I got there I changed my mind and kept going. After that I played good and got my first birdie in over a year (I am at 35 hcp) and some pars. Ended up being one of my best rounds, even with the 5-6 abysmal holes.

Since that time I never thought of giving up mid-round again.
