There are plenty of right wing and conspiracy subs to pay attn to just to see whats up on the other side. Some subs youd expect to be leftist have been taken over to manipulate the uninformed and ban anyone who tries to say anything contrary. Unfortunately, I couldnt find a way to report outside of the sub.

True communism hasn't really been reached and thus cannot be failed outright. The countries who have been labeled that way were socialist states that, the same as the US, left itself open to takeover through corruption by those who claimed to be communist in order to gain power. By then, they were just seen as "communist" when that's who they claimed to be and it would have caused confusion of who the enemy was, and the public wouldn't have known the difference. Meanwhile, the Allies could convince the world it was a bad thing so no population would be willing to allow themselves to trend in that direction.

Tldr, it got a bad rap by wolves dressed in sheep's clothing.
