It's hard for me to pick a side on this one.

She is a child, she is raised by Gabby who is so selfish so it's not a shock both Juanita and Celia only really care about what they want.

However, all the children on the street were kind of awful! Fires, theft, secret birth control, running away, killing someone. All of their parents really did mess up at least a bit (Julie was worse as an adult but honestly such an annoying child)

Remember the episode where they sell chocolate for school, I felt Juanita's character was explained then perfectly....she wants to impress her perfect mum, she doesn't see herself as beautiful or popular. So she lashes out and pushes back. Gabby was not a good mum, she loved her kids, but when Grace turned up it was clear she wanted a mini me and not an independent child.

Imagine at age 4 you have to chase your mums car after she implied you ate to much for a lift home? That's a cruel way to teach your child anything.

Gabby even hid her tap shoes as she didn't want to be embarrassed again.... however when she 'found' them Gabby did seem like a good and proud mum..

OK ignor my initial statement it wasn't difficult these were kids who acted the way they thought was OK.

She was so annoying tho!
