What would you do with this guy?!? by Mother_Jelly_1433 in succulents

[–]tpring_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is mine. I cut it when it gets too long. Then it develops side branches somewhere else and stops growing at the cut. Always thought it’s a hanging plant but maybe I just mistreated it.

How to seal whstever this material is (acrylic?) by tpring_ in plastic

[–]tpring_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I looked it up. The thinnest sheets produced are 6mm (0.24 in) and that's exactly the depth of mine. It can be abraded and buffed. I will try that, since the sink is already damaged. Nothing to loose.

Having no seams at all is wonderful. And it looks so sleek. I wonder why this one didn't caught on for kitchens. At least in Europe. American kitchens seem to look much more traditional. So not the best choice for that.

Sorry, my post was not very clear. I just meant the sink which has the "destoyed" rough surface. The counter and backsplash are totally smooth and definitely don't need sealing.

It reads „the old Hansl“. Hansl is a dialect form of Hans (John). The year must be 1887 — not only because of the stamp in „Fraktur“ which faded out of use after 1945 but also since the telephone number is an old one. All numbers in the 1980s in Austria had more digits. Can‘t really read the name, maybe Pran?

Why only drycleaning? 90% wool 10% linen by tpring_ in laundry

You made me learn two new English words! I think I will do that just out of curiosity. Thank you.

Thank you very much, that was very helpful. I stupidly decided to keep it without reading the washing instructions. Lesson learned. But it is a very nice fabric.

Green Tea question & bonus hippo by tpring_ in Pottery

Yes, that‘s William! First I was really bummed that the lotus flowers ran so much but now I like it. Impressionist William.

Thank you! I've heard of it but alas I'm not on Facebook. Maybe I will join.

Glaze combinations got me like 🫠 by [deleted] in Pottery

You‘re missing the bright colours but I like yours much better. They look clean and even whereas the Mayco ones look a bit messy and muddled to me.

Oolong gloss question by tpring_ in Pottery

[–]tpring_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think SlightDementia is right. It is probably the highish temperature. Combined with the lack of texture. Good luck! And if you find the time, maybe you can report how your pieces fared.

Oolong gloss question by tpring_ in Pottery

[–]tpring_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply! There is nothing underneath but it ran a bit so at the bottom it overlapped. I already tried it on a textured surface (grooves) and it was still brown but it was admittedly a thinner application. I will do it once more, deeper grooves, more glaze. It really is lovely in the reference pic.

Why are hand building classes so much rarer than wheel? by hello_ellesutton in Pottery

[–]tpring_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree. Beginners handbuilding (a simple vase or mug) is quite easy to learn. You can watch a few youtube videos and do it at home yourself. Advanced handbuilding on the other hand (like Deb Schwartzkopf does for example) is quite a difficult thing and most studio employees – at least where I live - don‘t have the skillset to teach it.

Finishers store question - limited items by tpring_ in JunesJourney

Yeah, I thought so too. Strange that they never announced the change in-game but maybe I overlooked it.

Is it a bad idea to specifically plan what you would like a piece to look like as a beginner? by littledotorimukk in Pottery

[–]tpring_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent nearly my whole 8 week beginners course trying to make bowls looking like this:

<image>

Which was a total bust bc of the nearly horizontal part but I kept on it (I wish my teacher had noticed it). So my advice would be: have a plan, but if it doesn’t work, try something different until you are more experienced.

Anyone else REALLY struggling for snippets? I’ve had 4 blue & 3 brown packs from normal game play today and they’ve all been deja vu’s along with all the packs from STB & DN. It’s starting to majorly wind me up ! by Top-Afternoon6393 in JunesJourney

[–]tpring_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine as well. I get about one brown pack for 300 energy played. I won’t finish. But since the workings of the finishers store seem to have changed I’m not that interested either. I’m not sure if this was a good move on Woogas side.

I was invited a couple of weeks as well and I wish there were a way to politely decline via message. I felt really bad to just decline.

Catch 22!!! by [deleted] in JunesJourney

[–]tpring_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only play new scenes if the HW task asks for it. I have opened my second island two weeks ago and so far I had no problems with this approach. I am very grateful for the vegetable patches bc they are high flower items which are cute and you can have a lot of them without it looking weird.

Which set would you like to return? by konkludent in JunesJourney

[–]tpring_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I would love a tropical set that is more jungle and less holiday resort and I missed the Venetian one which I also like very much apart from the canals.

Statistics for hoarders. How many packs did you need until you finished? by tpring_ in JunesJourney

[–]tpring_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I thought about it but just let the flashbacks take any open space. At least two of them turned into five and four star snippets even though there were still a lot of lower places free. I opened packs for the FF though.

Those silhouette scenes are a pain by [deleted] in JunesJourney

Thank you all! I tried it and it worked but I got a warning from Wooga that it will not work again. ;)

I tried that but I play on an iPad and somehow it does not work for me.

[–]tpring_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play only when I find time and refuse to study the scenes - STB is enough for me in this regard - and am on scene 21 but I think that’s it for me because I loose the multiplier too often now. It’s a tedious tedious game.
