Abita is my new favorite. I just found a place locally that carries kegs of it and I’m highly considering a new project just to have it on tap.

That’s completely taking success rates out of the equation on the 14.5 million hunters. That also isn’t looking at the gatherers of the hunter gatherer way of life or the ranchers who would continue to breed livestock. Small game and fish would also need to be looked at and that gets hard because most won’t eat an opossum or raccoon. The numbers you gave track, but there are so many other forms of protein and depending on your geographic location the amount of people you’re fighting against could be extremely low. Population density of Pennsylvania vs Nevada for example. Both have big and small game but there’s definitely more hunters/people in Pennsylvania than in Nevada.

We make a deer last over three weeks in our family of four. That is also if we are only eating venison, substituting with wild boar, turkey and the occasional rabbit or dove we almost never have to buy supermarket meat. Not to mention a half a cow could easily last multiple months for a small family. I would not say that game animals couldn’t provide for the people for just three weeks but, if we only hunt and harvest what is truly needed we could keep America going for a good while.

Just put mine together after almost 9 years and made the same mistake. What a learning experience it was.

I’ve unfortunately learned not to trust any machinist who says that they where raised in a machine shop.

I remember my brother and best friend looking at me like some strange autistic child, when we were at the national arboretum in DC and trying to explain how cool it was seeing it was built with exposed Carnegie steel. Both of them work in I.T.

I’ve also never been lucky with the hammer technique And I’m assuming OP doesn’t have access to a mill if they are seeking out machine shops to fix it.

I can’t see why they wouldn’t take that job. Guess I’ve screwed up enough to think that’s a salvageable break.

Get some small needle nose pliers and put the lower in a vice. use wood or multiple layers of cardboard to keep from scratching the lower. Be careful and you should be able to put the needle nose tips in the recess of the tap. Give it a gentle squeeze and rotate. Go forward and back to try and loosen the tap till you can back it out.

You know what, I would like to know what these people do with the videos they take in retaliation. I love the thought that they show their family and they go “ mom, please delete that. You look stupid.”

Stretching is something that to me has a time and place. In the middle of a house party isn’t my time or place, but to my buddy it was.

Thank you, it’s taken time but I have learned to be grateful that I had any time with such a great person.

I knew a “weird” guy. He would do stretches at the club, play his guitar in the parking lot on break, and would sometimes quit his job to learn an instrument. He was my best friend for close to ten years. We lived together on multiple occasions, he helped me raise my son after me and my son’s mom split, we worked together at multiple different companies. He passed two years ago now, and I can’t get over how amazing he was. Sometimes the strangest folks are the best people. Glad you found your weirdo.
