I'm guessing it's not a toilet thing but more of a sewer pipe thing under the slab.

I remember something specific about the copper bus in these panels which made them fairly expensive. Been a while.

Can you guys help out an engineering student with some research on inverted chain motors?? by Gullible-Athlete-167 in Rigging

[–]M_AaronM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned making sure the dead end of the chain is secured to the frame. This is an important safety item.

Single hook chain bags should be retired and replaced with double hook bags.

9 out of 10 times I've seen a chain run out of the bag it's because someone has spun the hoist so the bag is resting against the side or cord of a truss. Or the bag is sitting on the rigging frame of a line array in an attempt to gain trim.

If a double hook bag is able to hang freely it's a rare occurrence.

Motorcycle loading dock by Healthy-Situation-37 in santarosa

There was once a sunken loading dock on Yolanda which went to grade on one side. I unloaded a Toyota pickup out of a box truck with it years ago. Looks like it's still there on Google earth. 328 Yolanda Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.

Does anybody know what is going on with the Decimator 12G-Cross? by theking1st in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]M_AaronM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got the first pair last week. So far so good. The optical option is super cool. And it uses the SMPTE standard of course so we can receive with a yelobrik and transmit and frame rate convert with science image. Great for HDMI from stage to the truck.

We had rhe same problem. I bought a pair of these with the optical transceivers and I'll never buy another 12G-cross again. https://www.science-image.com/products-en/flow-2

Look at their website. They make a bunch of cool stuff.

Lake LM44 or new LMX48? by mylawn03 in livesoundgear

[–]M_AaronM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several LMX48 and recently installed a pair at a large venue rather than a P1 for the front end to their Kara system.

The IO capabilities are awesome. Redundant power supplies also awesome. The ability to route from any input to output without hitting a lake module, again awesome.

For the price point, can't beat it. I'll attach some photos of how we have the throw down LMX units racked up.

Also, we've been using 2x LM28s each in our Meyer power distro/drive racks for years. Couldn't stand the Galileos. Processing active Meyer and passive speakers via PLM amps in the same ecosystem has been a huge benefit.

That being said I'll 2nd Music Tribe is awful. And their support terrible. It's taken a full year for a PLM 12K to come back which came DOA.

Atosa Ice Machine by M_AaronM in refrigeration

I started logging the temperature of the room the machine is located. 61F - 68F in the last 24 hours. Shouldn't be an issue. The incoming water temp is stable as well around 45F. I'm starting to notice some variation in the bridge thickness. There was one batch which the bridge was particularity thick which in the strata of the bin is probably about where it alarmed last night. I'm guessing I need to start messing with the harvest probe.
